After the Popovich and Rodman explosion, noone wanted to touch Dennis Rodman. Although noone on those Bulls team would even shower or locker with Dennis (he would dress last and come on the court after the team was on the lay up line), Phil surely made it work.

Then Dolan should fire Phil asap. Kristaps is better than any player in this draft and many drafts before it. The whole point of tanking is so you get enough bites at the apple to get a Kristaps. Philly have been in the lottery for years and not a single player they've gotten is better than KP.

I like the potential of who could be available at #4. Its not an unknown in that we know who should be there. But until they play some NBA games they are somewhat of an unknown...There are always busts and its a big unnecessary risk imo. Take the sure thing and build around him

I didn't read a few pages yet, and I'm just commenting on this, but a guy at #4 should be around KP's talent, though of course KP has proven it. Reiterating something I said somewhere on here, IF it was Booker and #4 (and I can't see Criss being in this) then:

PG - Frank N?
SG - Booker
C - WHG
PF - Melo
SF - Jackson?

Would sort of set the PG\SG\SF\C for the future, PF question marks either post Melo in a few or this year if dealt

Now, the other way, it's:

G - Frank N? Monk?
G - Bledsoe
C - WHG
PF - Melo/Criss
SF - Jackson?

Which I'm less excited about by far, but it still gets a rebuild going and at least adds a young rotational PF. Just Bledsoe being 28 and with something of injury history is not as compelling, but it's not like he's 30. But still.

You have any idea how long Dolan refused to fire Isiah Thomas despite fans calling for it, all the crappy moves and even a sexual harassment lawsuit scandal? It took the league applying pressure and even then Dolan still wanted to bring him back.

This is the owner who does crazy crap like blame the state of the franchise on cheerleaders and ban them from performing, or have employees use monitoring equipment to record player conversations, or pick petty feuds like banning famous directors and season ticket holders from the VIP areas just because they refuse to record promotional commercials for him to air alongside the movie rights he purchased, and who would rather release an album and go on tour with a band that he names after himself. Security dragging Oakley out is only the most recent of his idiocies. The only reason he owns the Knicks is because his Cablevision daddy gave MSG and the Knicks to him as a present and reward for going to drug rehab.
