I agree with Shamm. What would be the downside for KP in being sent to Boston? We're not negotiating with Sacramento or some place like that.

He'd be in a stable, winning environment with a good culture and pretty much zero drama while also getting to play for Brad Stevens. He'd also be able to get the Designated Vet Extension from Boston whenever he qualified for it.

It's not about downside for KP. It's about what's best for the Knicks.

I'm saying that I don't think there is a deal that Phil will accept. This is all theatre.

If that is the deal, then Boston ought to be seriously considering it. They get to keep the 2018 PHI/LAL pick, maintain their cap space so they can sign another impact player, and add KP who can step in right away and give them 20, 8, and 2 blocks, and hasn't yet reached his ceiling.

From the Knicks perspective, I hope this doesn't happen. They should be throwing in another pick instead of Brown, or taking on Noah's deal.
