That's what I'm saying, but these guys go crazy whenever they hear draft pick. It's amazing, when you talk about Philly and Fultz and Simmons it's like "you're basing your future on guys who never stepped on the court", but now we are rumored to get draft picks and everyone want to base their future on guys who never stepped on the court. It's hilarious.

YOu also shut your bitch ass up you f**k boy

Sometimes, a person will come on and their valuation/demands are pretty nuts, and it is clear that they don't want to make a deal. They are just there for the massive publicity. Cuban calls them "Shark Tank Gold Diggers"

I think that is what Phil is doing here.

what does this publicity accomplish ? i'm pretty sure he got enough yesterday anyway.and it's till going on today. there seems to be a lot of back and forth offering just for publicity.

that message has been sent. he's still negotiating. also, i reject the idea that he wouldn't be better off in a lot of places. phil is scaring him by threatening to send him to a better franchise who was just in the ecf ? he's unhappy with how things are being run here. after he thinks about he'll probably realize it was a favor.

Whether or not Phil is beefing with KP, Phil should be listening if another team wants to unload their war chest for KP.

so it was just to make kp nervous but now he's actually listening ? how it that different than just shopping him ? the nets 2 picks are not even that great a deal. you have no idea what you're getting. a player that has shown something is always better. that's not a "i have to take it" deal in any way. that's a "i did pretty good for this player i want to get rid of" deal. wouldn't you rather keep kp ?

Nope. I want the #7 Minny pick also, that's being talked about.

#3 this year, #7 this year, Nets pick next year + Jaylen Brown

If Boston refuses, oh well. We keep a legit superstar prospect.

This. Worst case scenario we keep Porzingis to build around.

Feed Phil's ego

No, it is to tame KP's

I would think that would be better to handle that behind closed doors or other ways. Its all just making this franchise look even more crazy and disfunctional...had to have known the media and fans would run with this. Perception can be just as real as reality at times.

He'd be in a stable, winning environment with a good culture and pretty much zero drama while also getting to play for Brad Stevens. He'd also be able to get the Designated Vet Extension from Boston whenever he qualified for it.

It's not about downside for KP. It's about what's best for the Knicks.

Could people live with that deal PJ is asking for? I think it's enough, but I'm admittedly high on Josh Jackson.

If we walk out of here with Jackson, Smith/Frank, Brown, and the potential of two picks in the first half of next year's lottery, I think I can live with trading Porzingis.

I'm saying that I don't think there is a deal that Phil will accept. This is all theatre.

I personally wouldn't trade KP for anything that has been rumored so far.

If that is the deal, then Boston ought to be seriously considering it. They get to keep the 2018 PHI/LAL pick, maintain their cap space so they can sign another impact player, and add KP who can step in right away and give them 20, 8, and 2 blocks, and hasn't yet reached his ceiling.

From the Knicks perspective, I hope this doesn't happen. They should be throwing in another pick instead of Brown, or taking on Noah's deal.

If the offer is good enough, of course KP shouldn't be untouchable. But so far, I don't think there was an offer good enough to trade away a potential franchise player. Booker? FOH.

I just hate banking on a 1 year college player to be an NBA stud. I mean I think Jackson is pretty safe but you just never know. That and KP hates Phil which tells me he's high IQ which I don't want to lose.

that's what it would have to take to get KP

we'd have the 3rd pick, Brown, our 8th pick, the 2018 BK pick, and our own 2018 pick

if Ainge can't do that then no deal

Agreed.

#3, Nets first next year, Brown and Crowder, or Ainge can kiss our collective asses

Ill throw in lance thomas
