I forgot how much I love this part of the NBA season. So much intrigue and hope for so many teams. In the end, none of it matters, the Warriors are going to walk through the league for several years but watching the foundations being built for half the league seems wildly important in basketball moreso than football, baseball, etc.

Ntilikina is another MCW/Exum, he has no jumper and cant dribble....DSJ, i guess,

This part doesn't sound true at all.

BAM! was #9 on DX's preseason mock draft. We've seen plenty of these talented Kentucky bigs' draft stocks "take a hit" due to subpar production (Skal, WCS, etc.). I don't get how people haven't figured it out yet. If you don't like the skills/intangibles that's one thing, but I've never understood the production argument. Kentucky bigs under Calipari never put up great numbers, not even Karl Anthony-Towns his freshman year.

Haven't heard much from OKC. Usually they are pretty aggressive on draft day. I hope Horst doesn't answer Presti's calls.

Bam kind of gives me a Dwight/Drummond vibe. I think he has the potential to be a very dominant big, but his personality and motor will stop him from reaching his maximum potential. That being said, He could be one of the biggest steals of the draft if his effort is there.

Towns put up great numbers, just didn't get a ton of minutes.

Boogie put up big numbers. Noel had great numbers -- near double double with 4.4 blocks and 2 steals. Davis had a double double with almost 5 blocks/game and a better than 2:1 BLK:PF ratio. Statistically these guys all demolish Bam.

Towns played 21 minutes a night and put up 19.5 points 13 rebounds 1 steal and 4 blocks per 40 pace adjusted. I'd say that's pretty great production. Bam didn't exactly deal with a loaded frontcourt.

How far up does our 2018 1st (Top 5 protected) get us from #17?
