The perfect fit for the Wizards in this draft is...

Josh Jackson @ PF. He reminds me of Draymond in some ways. He's versatile. Can defend either 3s or 4s. Intense and competitive on court.

Justin Jackson you mean ? Josh Jackson isn't big/long enough to play PF

Nooo. Do not like Justin Jackson much at all. I think the ideal height/weight thing goes out the window in the modern NBA. Standing reach is still important but it's not a deal breaker. It's common to see 6-7 guys play PF or 6-8/6-9 guys at C. Josh may start as a SF but If I'm a GM I'm looking at his tenacity & skillset and say hey, this guy is a modern playmaking 4. His skill stands out better against other 4s. At the 3 he's a little under-skilled.

If you're looking for the next Draymond Green, good luck with that. I think the closest thing to him in this draft is Jordan Bell - though he's way behind in offensive skills. He's a dynamic and versatile defender and good rebounder who did extremely well in the agility drills. Offensively, he's got a lot of work to do, but if he works hard at it, he's got a chance to be special, imo.

I think Jackson's 6-9/6-10 wingspan is a key difference when comparing him to Draymond's 7-1 wingspan. And will Jackson be able to rebound at a high rate at the next level? You can put anyone at the 4 and call then a PF but that doesn't mean they'll be a net positive there.

Idk.. don't see the full time PF thing happening for Jackson. He will flat out need to learn how to play on the perimeter and shoot the ball

You've got people pining for Otto to get more run at PF. Guys like Danilo Gallinari & Harrison Barnes make much of their living at PF. I always thought wingspan was a useless statistic anyways unless were measuring how much ground one could cover side-to-side. I always preferred standing reach to determine how big someone plays.

A player who isn't expected to be drafted - Alpha Kaba - would be a nice pick-up to put on the G League roster. One of the longest players in the draft, makes occasional 3's, is an excellent rebounder, and gets more steals than blocks. Regarded as not having a good shooting touch, but his FT percentage went up to the mid 60's last season.

LoL I mean Michael young should be the move. He shouldn't be drafted but we should make him a nice offer and watch him out play ochifu by a mile. I think ochifu could be a decent third center some day. Big body just to fill a minute or two, won't hurt you won't help you. Just a decent big body if needed. But Michael young has a shot to be something.

If the Wizards get back into the draft, I'd hope they'd be targeting Caleb Swanigan or Wesley Iwundu.

Iwundu may be available as a free agent.

Swanigan was a great college player. I don't see it as an NBA player.

If Harry Giles slips to the 2nd, I'd be willing to offer a future 1st to get him. He's the type of gamble we should be looking at.
