The Celtics just gave away the #3 pick for a player who's not even going to be there next year! How the hell could the Bulls not get that for Jimmy Butler??

Yup. Great defender, poor offensive player, struggled picking up an NBA offense as a ROOKIE POINT GUARD. He will be a decent player moving forward because he has elite intangibles and a high BBIQ.

Yeah but we traded an All-Star with a friendly contract for a Torn ACL and one who could maybe be a decent player moving forward, we got Billyking'd by the Wolves

You did get "fleeced". I am just saying the pieces aren't crap. I am baffled by this trade quite honestly, and it must be difficult being in your position. From my perspective: We traded 1 year, disgruntled Kevin Love (Arguably top 5 player in 2014) for Wiggins+, and you guys are trading an equally talented player who has an extra year for "less" :o

I was willing to part with Wiggins for Butler, and thought that was needed, but apparently it wasn't.

If there is any bright spot, it is that LaVine has Superstar Potential.

So does Wade still opt in? Does he want to be around for this?

They have a team full of young players all getting better.

The Bulls have a team full of.... low grade prospects and players busting so far.

The ones "getting better" are now on the Bulls. All they have are Towns and Butler. Which isnt going to win you anything.

Wiggins? And they'll make a pick at 16.

Dunn had a horrible rookie year, Lavine just tore his ACL and they were better after he went down. Getting better, sure.

The NBA is about getting star talent in place, they now have 2 of them. Potentially for 3. Lesser role players will come more easily after. While the Bulls just traded their only star for 3 role players.

Can't think of a safer bet than that the Wolves will be better than the Bulls for the next 4-5 years.

Since Philly retired Trust the Process, I guess we can use it.

One of the most ridiculous draft nights ever. Makes Doug McD draft night a pleasure.
KC: Do you still think you're a championship-caliber team?
Gar: I never said that and correct me if I'm wrong.
KC: You were asked that question at the news conference announcing Thibodeau's dismissal and you answered yes

This is devastating.

Gar and Pax have not only driven the franchise into the ground, but they have saved their jobs, along with Fred's, for at least a few more years. An absolute garbage trade and we are going to be complete trash for years, back to a rebuild which will seem like it will never end.

I'm done until GarPaxHoi are gone.

I think this is a better deal then the proposed deals last year with minny, but it just shows how bad last years offer was.

I didn't trust them to build around Jimmy, either.

This trade could facilitate a regime change if it blows up.

Legitimately in shock that this was the return for Jimmy... now that I've opened the Laphroaig I've been saving for a rainy day, let's take a look at the trades last year and see how GarPax has had no strategic synergy to anything they have been doing. I truly think they go into each new day with no plan or memory of what they did before. It's like Memento, but John G (the G stands for Garpax) killed the team, not Ed's wife.

I believe it was Lavine and the #5 (Dunn) last year. Some had Rubio in it. So in some ways yes this is better. But Lavine is injured.
