Hopefully Gar and Pax can flip Lavine and or Dunn for draft picks.

You understand that people who wanted to trade Butler only wanted to do so for a deal that made some semblance of sense, right?

You do now realize that the deal was never on the table right? Yet here we are all the complaining. Once again, be careful what you wish for.

It's being reported that the Celtics wouldn't even give up the 3rd pick or next years BKN pick for Jimmy.

This was always the likely outcome in a Jimmy trade. Enjoy the tank...hopefully we can land Porter or Williams in the next two drafts.

There was a sizable population of Bulls fans on this forum who were on board with a crap return like this one.

Donald Trump is president.

Is there any way to build a wall around GarPax?

He's won't get the max unless he's 100% back from the injury so at that point it will be worth it. We would have had to give jimmy a 5 year $200 million contract at age 30 in two years if he stayed so a big contract was coming either way.

This sort of trade would always lose, I guess this is better than some. The Wolves will beat us by 15 games next year.

Screw the Wolves. The extra cap space we generated is highly intriguing.

I don't understand why we had to five the 16th as well. Is the 16th a great pick? Of course not. But, how is it that we had to trade essentially 16th for Lavine and Butler for Dunn and Lauri. It's a bad trade but Jimmy needed to be traded. Don't confuse the need with the result. We were going nowhere with Jimmy but we still didnt need to get hosed this badly

Tell me Denver with say, offer of Murray and/or Harris and #13 which is now (Donovan Mitchell!)is not a better package than this $hit????? Also we most likely keep #16. There are a dozen guys on this board that could have done a better job.
KC: Do you still think you're a championship-caliber team?
Gar: I never said that and correct me if I'm wrong.
KC: You were asked that question at the news conference announcing Thibodeau's dismissal and you answered yes

He's not making much coming off surgery unless he gets right back to himself before the injury.

I understand the disgust over the trade, but I'm sorry, people need to let go of the notion that GarPax and Jimmy were going to magically lure some all-stars to CHI. It wasn't going to happen.

This deal needed to happen for a host of reasons. And for people complaining about value, Boston allegedly wasn't even offering the 3rd pick in the draft, let alone future assets.

Maybe we'll be ready to compete in a decade once Golden State's run is over. :)

what the **** are you talking about.

Towns + Jimmy is fantastic.

If Wiggins improves some more and he and Towns start playing some defense, Wolves will be a top 3-4 seed.

They gave up nothing.

Payne back him up?

So now it's Butler fault that people who have extensively proven to be horrible at their jobs in the past are indeed horrible at their jobs.

I'd trade Wade and full tank and hop for top pick next year. At least there's a direction, but it will take 2-3 years

Stirring as in stirring the pot. Constantly.

Gar it's draft night. get back to making things worse for our team and get off realgm!

You don't want to piss me off, if you think I am who you are.

I just might trade for Melo to make your offseason a sweet syrupy mess.
