I'm betting that LaVine was the sticking point in the talks. David Kaplan was reporting shortly before the trade was agreed that he Wolves were offering Dunn and Rubio.
Figure LaVine is back by Jan. If he plays well he'll get a good payday. I don't mind paying a 22y/o big money as long as he healthy and next year we will see. If he struggles we will get him on a bargain.
If Lavine is back and playing well, he's going to get maxed. I don't want to max out Lavine. Lavine at his best won't lead us anywhere.
Probably why a smart GM traded him and his bust for our all star.
