You can not like the pick. I get that. But, Leaf and Tyler are completely different players. Completely different games. The only thing they have in common is they are both white PF.

Yeah Hansbrough was National Player of the Year. And he still sucked.

I understand that this is a time of a lot of uncertainty and disappointment for the team and that frustrations are going to run high, but I think it's a bit hyperbolic to say we're going to be that bad. We still have a lot more going for us than the Nets did this year, and we have more to hope for for the future than they do.

Let's try to keep this discussion on TJ Leaf. Most picks take a few years to really tell how they're going to pan out anyways, and I find the predictions of doom and gloom to be a bit premature.

OH my funny gif of a puppet puking is too much for someone!

There were better players on the board.

Just like in 2009. They picked Hansbrough when the need was at Point guard they passed on Teague, Lawson and Holiday. If they would have picked any of them there would have been no need to trade for George Hill in 2011, and the trade that sent Leonard to the Spurs.

Yeah, gotta be honest, not a fan of this one. I thought there were much better players still on the board with the potential to be bigger difference makers. I don't think Leaf is the type of guy to base a rebuild around, rather a complementary piece.

I get that. I happen to like to Leak the most but I am wrong 99% of the time so most likely I am wrong. IMO 2009 was way different because we had a definite need. Tonight was about best available as we rebuild. If you liked others more I certainly get that. Just think your analogy is off.

I think he's been pissed since at least 2009. Or maybe he's still mad about the Tom Owens trade.

The pacers have been a door mat ever since they entered the NBA.

Lakers making a bunch of second round picks that sound like us. Could there be a deal in the works.

He's not a high-upside guy but at #18, I think it's likely that he'll turn out to be solid value. Power forward is such a weak position in the NBA right now that Thad is a top-15 PF in this league. He's not the answer to our problems, nor is he a total upside gamble. What he has is shooting, and that will have a place with us no matter what. We might be losing PG and CJ. That leaves Myles as our best shooter. It addresses our team positional and skillset needs and I think a real case could be made that he was BPA.

I hope not! Make them wait a year. I say dump everyone and make PG play on the equivalent of a D-League team and get booed every night waste a year of his life doing that.

How does that make us better? I've dropped back to a 10 game package and I don't want to see pg at any of them.

This team could have done better. There were better players on the board when they picked. I don't think I can be a fan of a team whose management doesn't make an effort to put a good product on the floor and allows themselves to be played by the management of other teams.

I've supported this team when they were bad in the dark years right after coming to the NBA the years before Chuck Person and Reggie Miller. But this is just sad and stupid at this point. They took 2 guys from UCLA!! OMG they are idiots, and don't talk to me about Reggie Miller being from LA and UCLA that was 30 yrs ago!

I'm getting drunk. I've already called my secretary and told her to cancel my appointments for Friday!!

Draft express had him going 20. Nbadraft.net had him 15. Doesn't feel like a reach to me.
