I only caught the end of a comment, but did McDonough say Jackson was their no.1?

you can compare his stats with Suns great Alec Brown

I am sitting here laughing at this weakness video makes it look like the guy shouldn't be playing college ball let alone NBA ball.

Well actually, he might have been telling the truth this time, even if he thought he was lying.

Would love it if the Suns can bring in Jonathon Motley. He has the fierce rebounding that we need from a young big in our front court.

I like Alec Peters...

Looks like a White Dudley lol.

Or a poor man's Ryan Anderson / Kevin Love.

I mean high IQ, elite 3pt shooting ability, decent rebounder and good feel for the game.

The league has transitioned from an athlete first basketball player second to a basketball player first athlete second league once again thanks to the emphasis on shooting, passing and off-ball movement.

I like it.

he is NOT a stiff like Alec Brown was.... I mean Alec Peters has a quick release and he looks mighty coordinated. He moves well around screens and in general positions himself well.

I HOPE he becomes a Jud Buechler type... who would be a key bench player today.

But I see a bit of Jared Dudley in Alec Peters...

Yeah this guy is the exact opposite of Josh Jackson.

I like his shooting but holy crap, he's awful at everything else. It would be fine if he was even average at rebounding or defending but he's just awful.

I hope he doesn't make the team. I didn't like the Reed pick but I can see Reed being a rotation player in the NBA, I can't see this kid lasting more than a year at most in the pros.

Lmao did McD unintentionally throw huge shade at Knight? Said we had a hole at the backup 2 guard behind Book and didn't even mention Knight.

There was just a graphic on the Kings...all for of their draft picks were like players of the year in their conference, or DPOY or something except for maybe Giles but they noted he was rated #1 in this draft class a couple years ago. Man, with all these guys, Skal, and I hear Bogdan is killing it..they will be interesting. If I was a Kings fan I would probably be more excited post Boogie.

I found this interesting...good for Kings fans who deserve something to be happy about and good for Fox.

All along, this is what De’Aaron Fox wanted. That makes him different.

Some NBA draft prospects in recent years did all they could to avoid the Kings, who looked like the most dysfunctional franchise in the league.

But perhaps things really are changing because Fox was ecstatic to be the fifth overall selection by the Kings on Thursday. He headlines the remodeling of the Kings roster after what the franchise deemed a great night for their mission to change the perception and culture of the franchise.

“It was a guy that we all loved, and if we had the No. 1 pick he would he would be our guy,” said Kings general manager Vlade Divac of Fox.

Fox said he loved the family vibe he felt from the Kings and the fans, who he said reminded him of the fans at Kentucky.

“I’m pretty sure out of any team, Kings fans showed me the most love,” Fox said.

The Kings traded the 10th pick, acquired from New Orleans in the DeMarcus Cousins trade, to Portland for the 15th and 20th picks. The Kings selected North Carolina small forward Justin Jackson at No. 15 and Duke power forward Harry Giles at No. 20.

The Kings added Kansas point guard Frank Mason III with their second round pick, 34th overall.

I wouldn't be surprised if Knight never plays another minute for the Suns again. Even if he is on our roster. There is really no reason for Sarver not to just waive him....unless he wants to attach an asset valuable enough for people to take him on at 14 million a year.

You guys should check out Marcus Morris twitter. He gave shoutouts to a couple guys but not his fellow #FOE brother and Jayhawk in Josh Jackson lmao...you guys think it has to do with animosity towards the team that drafted Jackson?

Fox, Hield, Labissiere, Cauley-Stein, Jackson, Giles, Papagiannis, Bogdanovic.
Bledsoe, Warren, Chriss, Bender, Jones, Williams, Len, Reed.

That looks like us without Booker or Jackson lol (and we have 3 more futures firsts).

I hope that doesn't come back to bite me.

I was really hoping we can trade him for a 2nd rd pick to some team that needs to add salary to reach the salary floor.

Lol, can't really blame McD here. Can't really expect him to say, "suck that we couldn't move up to draft Ball or Fultz, and that those pesky Celtics took Tatum from us... guess Jackson will just have to do"

Honestly though, I wouldn't be surprised if Jackson was atleast in our top 2/3 - so the front office is probably very happy we nabbed him at 4.

How could Chriss have been 1 on our board when we took him with our second pick?

Ainge threw a tantrum about Jackson's cancelled workout and passed on him lol (quotes from Arizona Sports article):

- “Never talked with Josh, no one in our organization did”.
- “They canceled a workout on us when we flew out to Sacramento and they just decided to cancel it as we flew, it was Brad and I and Mike Zarren, it was cross-country. There was something, he didn’t want to play for the Celtics.”
- “There’s nothing to do in Sacramento, I was mad. I had to get up at 4 o’clock and fly home.”

I guess he never got a call. Cool to see the raw reactions.

With the rosters expanding to 17, I have to believe he'll be in the D-League all year right? We won't tell him to play in Europe like we did with Brown would we?

McDonough did say in his press conference he thought Josh Jackson was the best player in the draft.

If that's honest he has to play 30 minutes from the start.
