He looked promising and played well when I watched him.

He regressed offensively his second year after a surprisingly hot (from 3) rookie year. For reference, he shot 13% in college. His FG% went from 40s to mid 30s in year 2.

Very happy with our team. Porzingis didn't happen for a reason, much rather have Jackson and Chriss. I can't wait for next season.

Hard to see Bledsoe being moved from here, no clear replacement options that make sense for a 2020 run.

as of now, 14 players under contract for next season (I fully anticipate Jackson & Reed are signed, Alec WhoCares is packaged to the cold norths.)

Bledsoe/Ulis/Barbosa
Booker/Knight/Reed/Millsap
Jackson/Warren/Jones Jr.
Chriss/Bender/Dudley
Chandler

Questionable to return/unguaranteed: Barbosa, Jones Jr. Millsap. it would be classless to waive Barbosa just for the sake of saving cap. Jones Jr. is nice to have; Millsap I'm indifferent too- he'll probably get waived as we have 4 SGs.

RFA: I hope Big Sauce is retained. Was a huge reason why a 20 win team was actually enjoyable to follow. Len can Luke Zeller it if he wants to remain here. wouldn't match anything higher than a 2 year, 24 million contract (even then that's pushing it)

Same, really hoping we don't make any major moves in free agency and just use our cap space to "buy" future picks (not necessarily to use, but as trade assets).

The more I think about a Book-JJ-Chriss-Bender lineup, the more I like it. That just seems like a lineup (once they're developed) opposing players would NOT want to deal with (talent+size/length+nastiness factor). Really hope Dragan is working hard on his game/body this offseason!

Post draft i offer the Knicks Bledsoe/Bender/Both Miami picks/a future protected 1st for KP. I think thats a lot better than what CHI got for Butler. A almost all star PG in Bledsoe, a young international Big with potential (Former #4 pick), and 3 future 1sts.

Ulis/Booker/JJ/Chriss/KP

they'd want JJ. Rather just play the young guys and get a center in the draft or FA next year

I know we won't deal JJ, doesn't mean Knicks won't try for him like they did with Booker. I just don't think KP is worth that asset dump it would take for the Knicks to actually deal him.

Any Porzingis trade will probably require Josh Jackson.

But, I'd offer Heat 2018 Pick, Suns 2019 Pick, Chriss, Warren, Bledsoe for Noah and Porzingis.

Nope

Bledsoe
Booker
JJ
Chris

is four athletic tough dudes. I mean for the first time since Marion and Stat are we athletic. All of those guys (Chandler too) are mean, not punks, but mean.....

Don't sleep on Bender either. We are going to be running...Forrest Gump style.

Ok, been looking at other teams for a good C to target, and honestly besides being stuck overpaying for Drummond, i would approach Dallas with a Chandler for Noel (S&T). Might even throw in a Miami pick to make it happen.

No need to do anything but let the young guys play. Let's see who is a keeper Start Chandler, however,

Bledsoe/Ulis
Booker/JJ
JJ/Warren
Chris/Bender
Bender

Should be getting most of the burn

Here's a list of surprise superstars and what they were doing early in their career:

Draymond Green 6 ppg @ 23 yrs old
Nikola Jokic 10 ppg @ 20 yrs old
Giannis Antetekounmpo 12 ppg @ 20 yrs old
Kawhi Leonard 12 ppg @ 22 yrs old
Isaiah Thomas 13 ppg @ 23 yrs old
Jimmy Butler 14 ppg @ 24 yrs old
Hassan Whiteside DNP @ 25 yrs old

That is why I would be happy to essentially keep a group of upside lottery tickets in Chriss, Bender, Warren, Ulis, Len.

You only need one of them to replicate the above and it means expectation is not all on Booker and Jackson.

Drummond took his money and checked out. Booker, JJ and Chriss all play with an edge.

Trade up for Ayton or Bamba next year.

Moving forward I want this line up and specialty.

C: Bender (Mobile big man, all-round defender and facilitator)
F: Chriss (Mobile big man who finishes above the rim, front face oriented with range to 3pt line)
F: Jackson (All round defender with play making skills and ability to finish above the rim and slash inside)
G: Booker (triple threat scorer with range to 3pt line and elite jump shot)
G: Ulis (play maker with elite quickness to be a pesky defender and beat bigger defenders with his speed and skills)
F: Warren (do-it-all scorer inside and out)
G: Reed (classic 3D type with size to guard 1 to 4)
F: Peters (stretch big man with elite shooting skills)

Now just need an elite Shot blocker, Rebounder who can nail free throws and finish lobs...... Len aint it.

I don't think we need a C even if Len walks, we can just use Chriss/Bender there plus Alan Williams who the Suns should definitely offer a Dudley type contract to and bring back.

I love Al. He is a super good guy (he graduated a year before me at UCSB and we reffed intramural basketball together for a quarter). It makes me beyond happy to see him in games. Worked so hard to be there. Deserves another contract
