Wasn't expecting Bam nor did I think we needed another Big man with Bam's game but the more I read, the more I understand. All players after 13 had question marks. Bam provides us with a player with alot of upside and can play a role right away. One thing I noticed in all his videos and reports is that Bam tries to dunk everything, which is awesome. UD can mentor him and at 2.5 million, your getting a high energy guy for the small ball lineup. Now we hope that Gordon Hayword becomes a Heat!

I can't add anything to the Bam conversation I've literally never heard of the kid. His videos look alright and I'll reserve judgement until I see him play some games. Maybe we want to try turn him into a Serge type player or something I don't know. It does seem that Pat has never really been into building through the draft so I'd be surprised if the FO is spending more energy trying to lure GH. I guess PG isn't a thing if they've already given Bam 13.

bottom line is we reached, big time.

No one predicted Bam going 14th, and for good reason.

League is going in the complete opposite direction, and we're building an 80's team.

The guy won't get more then 10 minutes a game if Hassan is healthy. For years.

Shambles of the highest degree. Sometimes you have to take a gamble. This was one of these time.

Not that I disagree that we reached, but who that was available did you want instead at 14?

I feel Donovan Mitchell was our pick. Utah trading up **** us, and so we just took the BPA we had on our big board.

No way this dude can play PF, especially with Spo on the bench. Look at the, Warriors they have 3-4 elite creators all the time. With Hassan and Bam on the floor we would have 2 black holes. That's not how you play in 2017

I feel like, you always can find guys like Bam. Maybe less athletic, but still.

What? And then we win the title?

non-playoff team adds Bam Bam and wins the title.

The team may be saying he will play some PF, but I'd be very surprised if he ever finds himself alongside Hassan in lineups.

He's a backup 5, high energy big who has good physical tools to finish above the rim, jump out on pick and rolls and defend. It looks like he has a decent stroke, just hasn't shown it much yet.

Surely you're describing a dleague recruit or an undrafted FA not a no.14 pick. Isn't no.14 supposed to be a Dan Majerle level player

Definitely the Heat are expecting Bam to be able to play powerforward. They targeted players that were PF/C position players. The reason the Heat did not draft Leaf because they didnt feel he can play the Center position and may not even be able to defend the PF position. Plus the Heat already have Leaf on the roster which is McBob.

As of right now till we see what happens in FA. Bam is the starting power forward.
