He worked out for other teams, so he's not a douche for them. Most of you're being butt hurt for ainge and yourselves and in typical Boston fashion, going on a hate campaign for this guy.
Be a f-ing man Danny!
Thats not what this is about at all. These workouts are as much to see who these kids are in person as anything - its a job interview. They've seen them play athletically, but they need to evaluate the person and in this case the person is a dick. If I was trying to hire someone and they did that to me I'd know instantly that I wouldn't want to have that person on my team. His attitude is awful and combined with him smacking a girl (and I don't care one bit about the circumstances) you can quickly see that his judgement is poor and he is incredibly immature. Its not about personal feelings, its about seeing who he IS and then determining whether you'd want him on your team. If you can't trust a guy to show up for a workout after flying across the country to see him then how could you trust him to show up for practice or be a team player.
I see that you're trying to shed a negative light on him. Just as I said in the previous post. There is no indication that he ever skips practices or not a team player. These are all assumptions.
You're making an equivalent set of assumptions about Ainge. All we know is what he said in the interview - he was specifically asked whether Jackson blowing off the workout ruled him out as a prospect and he said no. You're upset he didn't take the player you think is best, so you assume Ainge let his feelings get the better of him.
Also, yes there is evidence Josh skips out on team events - blowing off the workout is literally that evidence. If you take Ainge admitting he was upset that Jackson wasted his time as such conclusive evidence, how are you giving Jackson a pass for something way more concrete?
Making a commitment to a potential employer and then backing out after they fly across the country absolutely is unprofessional. Using all the information at your disposal to select a player in the draft absolutely is not. Did Ainge make the right choice? Time will tell. Do you have to like it? Of course not. But did Ainge make an unprofessional choice? Not remotely.
