Pick your season: draft thread

Draft Rules:

1. Every season from the 1989-90 season to the 2016-17 season will be available for each pick.

2. You will be able to draft anywhere from 7-10 players. Each player selected must play at least 8 minutes in each match up.

3. Each player you select must have played at least 1/2 of the given season. So in normal seasons that's 41 games min. In the lockout seasons just cut them in half, pretty simple.

4. The winner of the draft will be determined by way of a 16-team playoff tournament (more below).

5. You must select year for your player IMMEDIATELY. No one else can use that same year for the rest of the round. For example, if the first pick selects 2017 Kevin Durant, no one else can select 2017 Kawhi Leonard for the rest of the round.

6. Each team can only use a year once. For example, if you use 2017 in round 1, you can't use that same year for any of your other draft choices. Each player must come from a different year on your team.

7. Your team will be limited to a certain number of FGAs based on number of selections.
- 7 players: 87 FGAs
- 8 players: 90 FGAs
- 9 players: 95 FGAs
- 10 players: 102 FGAs

8. We will be doing a modified snake draft. It will go like this: ABBABABABA

9. Players will get a maximum of a 2-hour window to make their selection when they are on the clock. If you still have not chosen a player by then, you will be skipped. Also, if you know ahead of time that you won't be available to make your pick on the clock then please PM your selection to myself or another participant.

10. The clock will be turned off between 12 midnight and 9 AM EDT.

11. Draft order will be completely randomized.

12. After you have made your draft selection, please quote and/or PM the person that goes after you so they will know that it is their turn and they are on the clock. You may not change your pick after it has been made, even if the next person in the order has not picked yet.

Team Roster Page Rules:

1. You will be responsible for creating a roster page for your fantasy team. Here are the things that you will be required to include on your roster page:

. Rotations
. Draft selections
- Selected Season
. The most important of all, you must show the total FGA per player on your roster AND a total sum of each players FGA to display that it is under the required FGA limit

-All of the above must be completed before playoffs begin.

Playoff Rules:

1. After the draft has been completed there will be a tournament style playoff structure. Matchups will be completely randomized.

2. Each of your players must play a minimum of 8 minutes in playoff matchups.

3. Everyone will vote for who they think would win in each matchup. Whoever gets 5 votes first will advance to the next round of the playoff bracket. Please put effort into your votes and write at least a few lines about why you're voting the way you are. Do not write something like "Hawk Eye in 5" or "I vote for Hawk Eye". Put some thought into it.

4. You are not allowed to vote for yourself. If you do it will not count.

After we have a champion the game will end!
