Also Warriors did super well to get Bell from the Bulls for cash... a great addition for them and I still wished the Pacers did that

Bleacherreport.com says sumner at 52 is ours.

Ike feels like laker pick.

I'm reading that there are some injury concerns with Ike's knees, but honestly for a second round pick a guy with any kind of upside is worth a shot.

Yep also read this. Coming off an ACL injury. Will he be ready by summer league to push for a spot on the team? Joe Young on watch....

I like the Sumner move, not a fan of Ike. Dude feels to me like an injury prone festus ezeli.

Not a fan of Ike either, but summer is nice.

Ike is a good gamble for a 2nd rounder. Lots of upside. He fell because of injury concern. I'm sure he'll get a partial guarantee type of deal so if he's not healthy no biggie. Type of gamble you take in 2nd round. Had seen him projected very late 1st or very early 2nd.

I hear that Sumner will miss part of the next season as he recovers from ACL and shoulder surgery. Hope Ike and Sumner don't become like J.Bender.... all potential but can't stay healthy.

I expect both these guys to get two-way contracts and spend a lot of time in Fort Wayne.

I hope you are right. Pacers bought that team and one would have thought we would use it. Did Joe Young even play 5 games there this past season? Gotta think a few more games there would have more beneficial than being a glorified cheerleader here. Niang should have been there all season.

Like Leaf, Sumner makes sense if your are thinking versatility. If you are going with more mobile bigs (Turner , Leaf and Young) I think you have to have big guards. I like Sumner's size. When I watched him (which wasn't very often) it looked like he could get to the basket and finish. Anigbogu looks like the ultimate project. Saw a scouting report on him, he has a nose for rebounding and blocking shots. Much better athlete than Christmas.

I like the guys LA got with picks 27 and 28. We would still be getting screwed but If we had Josh Hart he might be the best 2 on our team. I saw a mock that Kuzma going to us at 18. Maybe he could be a 3/4 tweeter who could guard both positions. Time to quit being sad/mad and start hoping.

good for you!

I hear we really like Ike but as the draft went down it sure felt like Hart and Kuzma and Bryant were all picked with an eye to sending them to us and Ike was picked to send back.

You may be right. The theory might be obsolete if this latest rumor with Hayward and PG has legs.:)

It may have gone obsolete at the press conference.

I would have been thrilled with Bell at #18.

Last year I wanted us to get McCaw, this year I wanted Bell.

Teams just keep gifting talented players to them.

Ike was incredible value for where we got him. No risk, very high reward pick. Surprised to hear people aren't happy with it. Quite a few mocks had us taking him at 18.

Hard to hate either pick really. Odds are neither are ever anything, but there's some definite upside for both.

I like the Ike pick. Don't know enough about Sumner to comment but clearly a low risk pick anyway.
