It does feel like that proposed KP trade of Bledsoe, Chriss and 4 would be much harder to stomach AFTER making our pick, knowing it's Jackson that we have, since KP will still likely be traded.
I'm pretty happy with where our team is right now.
I just want to clarify - my trade for LMA is only in the situation that Ryan is thinking the team needs a veteran PF type - meaning Gambo said Millsap. Which to me - makes ZERO sense. ZERO. I say , figure out the Center position with Len and Chandler; also Knight and roll with the youth.
But if McDonough wants a veteran PF type - I would do Millsaps for two years; maybe three if its trading Knight. I would do LMA for Dudley and Barbosa if the Spurs want cap space, limited though it may be for the Spurs. But again, limit the years because the last thing you want is a old Millsap on a bad deal. That's why LMA would be fine - two years, done with it. If he opts out, well you got cap space a year early
Sarver/Mike D screwed up with the cap space when they extended Boris and LB and didn't do the math or sarver got scared - so all of the sudden after the new deals kicked in - there went Thomas for nothing
I don't want the long term cap hosed by a 35 year old Millsap. So if they are doing an S&T with Millsaps for a couple years, moving Knight, that's fine. But just realize these young guys in 2, 3, 4 years will be on the hook for raises
