If we resign Waiters we really don't need Gay imo.

Sure we do. We need another option at 3 stretch 4. We can't keep going undersized at the SF spot and we need a vet for Winslow. Even someone like a PJ Tucker would work.

Wasn't necessarily talking about running small at the 3. I would rather sign another vet though, not too high on Rudy Gay. He's just a straight up scorer at this point and i feel we already have that in Waiters. He wouldn't bring anything else to the table.

Ok. I'm cool with that. PJ Tucker would be perfect to help bring along Winslow and our 3 spot defense would be lock.

Bojan Bogdonovic is also a sardine we should be interested in if we miss out on Hayward. Need to get someone to compliment Winslow.

This is about to be Season 7 he is pretty much who he is at this point. How much better can dion get? Rudy is a better player than Dion across the board at the same cost why not get the guy that allows you to remain flexible in Rudy instead getting tied down by a long term contract with a guy we're not sure can be consistently good.

Too late now. If TJ was traded i would assume that some other young guys like Winslow, or JR would be included, as well as BOBs expiring contract.
But right now its all about trying to make the playoffs. Thats what Pat wants.

You assume wrong

Why? How else would we get the player Pat wants unless we give them some of our young guys. We dont even have picks, so it has to be them.

If he improves, i.e. ups his 3pt shooting %, can see Riles being able to pull of a trade. The variable is gonna be his play.....

Are we still talking about TJ, or Winslow?

I think Pat is counting on the unity that Dion, & Dragic played with. They played very well off each other.

We don't need Blake Griffin if we already have McRoberts. One perennially broken PF is enough.

I mean look at his body? he's way more healthier and athletic than he has been his whole career. Dion can still get better imo and has only breached the surface. Dion does alot more for the team than Rudy would do. Rudy doesn't make his teammates better. Dion showed his passing ability this season. If he didn't have such a crappy start he would be averaging the same amount as Rudy would.

Dion > Rudy

You underestimate how stubborn, & hard headed he realy is. It would have to be something that would help us compete with them & a trade like that hardly ever happens.

So sick and tired of the Waiters hate. We turned him into an elite player. He bought into the system and did everything we told him too. He's going to be a steal for us if we get him at anything under 15 per.

Then he shoot good enough from the outside. Its his decision making that needs improvements.

Don't get me wrong I'm not betting my house on it. Maybe it just me but Ainge gives me the impression that he can be a wee bit desperate and in that scenario, feel like Riles would put is differences aside to snipe some assets from him.

The more I think about it we should be involved in talks with Spurs for Aldridge and or Danny Green. We can use both of them and their contracts are not bad. Even if its just for Danny Green. Trading Green for Ellington (release Ellington or Heat release him and trade his capspace) and McRoberts can save them a lot of money. Not only Green is a proven veteran shooter he is also a defender and starter quality. 29 years old is not old and has 2 more years at 10 mill per. The Heat will still have money to go after a marquee player. Green can be a reliable replacement if Dion goes elsewhere or move to SF if Winlsow struggles again.
