Summer League: Vegas baby, vegas.

Anyone going? I'm trying to plan a trip down to see 2 games with 3 of my buddies. Or if you've been, what should I expect?

I went last year. Met everyone except chandler, tucker and Barbs. They didn't go. It was a lot of fun. Definitely going again this year. Get there early to stand next to the stair case of the entrance and run to the game of your choice to get good seats when they open the doors.

It's cool bum... I didn't want an invite.
I was thinking of going, but Southwest just ended their awesome round trip tickets.

I rather go to Summer League games than the regular season games, that's how much fun it is. I've gone the last 5 years and look forward to it every time.

Also another pro-tip, avoid the days the Lakers are playing.

 I went to the suns first game of summer league and I think lakers were the night game, against philly. it wasn't too bad.

I like going to summer league though cuz the fans that go are a lot more knowledgeable then the casual fans. Good conversations going the whole day.

Tickets to Vegas for $200 round trip. Very tempting.

I searched on Orbitz for the 6th to 10th. From PDX to Vegas. Don't remember the airline since I didn't buy the tickets just yet.

Officially booked for my first Summer League with some buddies! Going for the first weekend, probably can't catch our first game because I can't get work off, but we'll see if I can make it happen. Very excited, wish I could go for the second weekend too but already had plans.

Memphis signed him

That was fast....

No PGs for summer league... or..... did we draft our Point Forward ?

I just had the same thought, so I searched best undrafted free agents and saw Cameron Oliver and Kobi Simmons on the list, then searched them and saw the former signed with Houston (they always pounce on undrafted guys) and Kobi by Memphis.

The other ones listed in one article of top 7 undrafted were:

PJ Dozier - Lakers signed him

Melo Trimble, Isaiah Briscoe is playing with the Sixers in SL

Nigel Hayes playing for Knicks in SL

Derrick Walton playing for Magic in SL

So in looking at DX's top prospects to see if there are any other PGs we could get for Summer League and I find a great one...a brazilian PG...what better team than ours with Barbosa on it to have play for us....

Stepping into a far bigger role, the 21-year-old point guard has averaged 10.7 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 4.1 assists per game emerging as a productive option in his first consistent action in Brazil's top league. Helping Paulistano make it to the playoffs with a 16-12 record, De Paula and his young teammates went on an improbable run to the Brazilian League Finals where they pushed a far more experienced Bauru team to a decisive fifth game, but ultimately came up short.

For all the strides De Paula has made, particularly with his decision-making, his physical tools remain perhaps his most interesting attribute as a prospect. Among the tallest point guards ever measured in our database, standing 6'6 with a 7'0 wingspan, De Paula towers above most floor generals, giving him the versatility to play/guard up to three positions at the NBA level, while also possessing decent athleticism and a solid frame.

But of course Houston signed HIM too.

We will probably just end up using some of our NAZ team to fill it out. Maybe it will give us a chance to see a lot of Bender and Jackson's passing.

Watched him closely here in Brazil. He's pretty bad. Doesnt know how to use his body, cant turn the corner on anyone, super stiff.
Yago (18yo PG with sick handles and shooting - 5'8" at best tho) might be our best prospect over here.

In that case I'm glad Houston has him. It would have been nice to have someone like Kadeem Allen...would have LOVED to have had him. I wonder if he was on the Suns radar at all...he went 53rd..Peters is a steal that late though (at least according to DX rankings)...since he is ranged 31 on DX.

I really wish Ulis was playing summer league.

Chriss/bender/JJ/Jones/Reed is going to be really fun to watch this summer. Where can we see an undrafted list? I want to check to it guards.
