Go look it up.. I guess y'all have short memories..
The 4th worst record was Philly.. we were 5th...
I remember I was paying close attention to where we were on the table the last 5 games of the season when we just couldn't stop winning as we were 4th on the table with 76rs right behind us and we finished 5th.. so, they jump from 4 to 3, and us from 5 down to 6..

Maybe you should refresh your memory by looking it up yourself. Sac jumped into the top 3 and Philly had a pick swap with them. If we finished 4th, we would have picked 5th.

Oh yea.. u right.. lol.. well, we should of tried and finished third worst then to get Josh Jackson as our SG

As for Vuc, as my roster is constructed I was thinking we should keep him for now and try to get Zack Lavine from Bulls for him or in February get 2 first round picks for him.. (depending on the team performance with him)... If we are out of a playoff spot, trade him and let the young athletic and skilled back up Center(Justin Patton) play for the rest of the season..

Hell we should of trade Vuc and the 23rd pick for Zack and Justin Patton from Bulls in this draft.. smh..

Patton
Isaac
Aaron
Lavine
Payton

That would be my second option. Smh..

There's no chance Vuc pulls that kind of value.

If we're lucky, the C's give us Crowder for him. If we're lucky.

Well, I would add the second pick we gave Memphis and another future second round pick

I can't as I am not a mod. However all those trades you talk about those are not fact that they could actually happen. I doubt most of those trades you talked about had any basis in reality. And Yeah if you are such an excellent draft guy then why don't you go and get a job with someone and lets see just how effective you are. Skal is no sure thing at this point. He is an intriguing prospect but I would take Isaac over him all day. I get not being very happy with this franchise right now but take chill pill and understand that there isn't always this quick fix like you talk. So if you want to be pissed then it is all good with me but you can look can see that not everyone here is so pissed off. Hence why this thread should be closed or combined with another one.

? We don't have the 23 rd pick in the draft. We had the 25th but we have already traded that away. And I doubt we are going to get Zack Lavine from the Bull as well as Patton which oh by the way they don't even have. Patton was traded to Minnesota as part of that Jimmy Butler trade. even if you are happy with Isaac pick (and lot of people are ) i still don't understand why they did other trade. Why would #25 pick in this draft be so much worst than top 20 protected player in next. Too much rookies? With new D league team that really isn't a problem.

So , in theory, if you give Isaac pick A or A- grade, it's hard to give that trade anything than D+. Overall hard to value draft night higher than C

No because the pick of Isaac far outweighs what we did later. I agree that I am not thrilled with the trade but It was a fair trade and only time will tell how this ultimately shakes out. But I would give our draft an A- because Isaac has a chance to be the best player out of this draft. we get the minus because of the trade which I would give a C or simply an incomplete grade with the 33 pick being somewhat of a reach so I give that one a D. But those trades and the second rounder don't carry a whole lot of weight and thus they only influence the A grade for Isaac a little bit thus an A-.

Goddanm u right.. they did send that pick to Minnesota.. wow.. now I realize that this was a bad move from the bulls to send that pick away too along with Butler.. I think he was enough for what they got from the wolves without sending that pick to them..

Like what? you can suggest all these trades but there is no proof that any of those were even proposed or talked about among the various GMs that would be involved in making those happen. Maybe we did call too move up but only got the answer that who we called wasn't interested in our offer. The draft is an inexact science. You can say we should have drafted this guy over this guy but would you really have taken that guy. Hindsight is nice but in the end all you can do is do the best scouting you can do and make an educated guess.

Also you need to get a realistic view of players. Skal is a nice prospect but he is hardly the guy you make him out to be. Also yes we have had bad luck in the draft. The highest pick came in a bad draft and the lottery has slid us back several times and out of the race for some of the truly elite talent. But you can't blame Orlando for that. Also you can't blame the coaches and players for doing the best that they can. Yeah I didn't want to win some of those last few games but they are playing for their careers. They are not going to tank and lose precious time to prove just how good they are. They want to get paid and are not going to tank. Also our hands have been tied up when it comes to free agency as well. We were still capped out and didn't have the cap space to do anything the first couple of years. Secondly we haven't been a great target as we are team that lost its star and thus it isn't easy to simply win after that happens. Yeah Hennigan and Vaughn and Otis are to blame as well but you can only blame them so much and in the end we let them go. Yeah it is frustrating but it is that way for a lot of teams. I understand if you are pissed but at least be pissed about actual real facts rather then making up stuff that you have no evidence ever existed.

It wasn't that bad for the Bulls. They got the to move up from the 15th pick to seventh which in this draft is more significant then you really think. They also get two good young guards. Lavine is more established then Dunn but he is still young and an amazing athlete. Dunn is still more of a question mark but he could still be at least a good average starting point guard. Patton is a decent prospect but not that great of a prospect. We shall see.

But one thing you have to understand when you trade a star you don't get an equal player in return. That simply isn't how trading stars work. Instead you get a package of young prospects and/or draft picks for guys where you hope at least one maybe two become at least good starters and hope one can be an all-star. If not you also get the benefit of the fact that now you are going to be on a youth movement which usually means losing so you hope to get a good lottery pick that can turn into similar player that you traded away. aka similar to how we made out by trading Dwight(in which we actually were the clear cut winners of that trade). But Chicago did ok. You can just say they should have done better when you don't even know if they could have gotten better from Minnesota or from any other team.

I wouldn't say yet that we are getting Joe Ingles. He is restricted and I think Utah matches any offer for him. We shall see.

GM Hammond said it was because there was no value at #25 (no player worth a #25 pick). I do not agree.
Caleb Swanigan would have been a perfect, long-term solution for the bench at PF. And that is what a team looks for at 25, a quality bench player.
