With a handful of us who wanted Bell, this could be a reason why we didn't pick him up. I think we can agree we trust our medical team if they actually did red flag an issue.

Give McDonough his extension, he just orchestrated one of the all time great pre draft operations.

Used his relationship with Ainge to stab him in the back.

Again?

Damn, I missed that. How was it? I wonder if there is still a recording up.

I'm really impressed with JJ. He is relaxed and cool on camera even more than Booker.

Yeah, I like him....he's more chill...you feel like he's more "real"...(now I don't know about their backgrounds that much) but it feels like he probably had a rougher way.....harder fight to get here..his family likely wasn't as well off as Booker's...he doesn't seem as polished but there's more heart there. It's understandable why that's the way he plays because you can feel it in his personality.

even more than Booker.

I read that McDonough promised BJ Armstrong (agent) that Jackson would get more playing time here and they agreed to then piss off Boston lol.

you can compare his stats with Suns great Alec Brown

http://www.sports-reference.com/cbb/players/alec-brown-1.html

I am sitting here laughing at this weakness video makes it look like the guy shouldn't be playing college ball let alone NBA ball.

Yet he averaged 22.5/10, and avg'd nearly 89% FT% this season, not to mention, when he played 'NBA' talent, he didn't shrivel up and shrink away--meaning, he played as well against the big boys as he did against the Horizon league scrubs.

KY, OR, BYU, AL...all games he scored 23+.

There's a reason he was 54th, but he was also rated 31st by DX...that's not on accident. He had low TOs, has high BBIQ, and is a non-injured 42+% 3PT shooter.

There is quite a bit of difference between Alec Brown and Alec Peters...550 more total pts and 50 more TRBs on 600 more total minutes, yet Peters even with those more minutes had...yes, Brown had more blocks...he should, he was 4" taller...

...anyway, you get my point...

Alec Peters by eye test looks like a smart mobile player... like I said.. Dudley-esque... not world class elite athlete but knows basketball moves. His shot release is elite.

What did McD said about Josh Jackson not working out with Celtics??

Was it bad? like Ainge will not deal with McD again bad?

Or was it fair.

Probably the second one.

“You guys all know my history with the Celtics and the respect I have for Danny Ainge and the organization,” McDonough said. “But I think you guys who know me well know how competitive I am. Look, it is a competition. The Celtics were ahead of us at No. 3 and they could have selected whoever they wanted to. I think they got a very good player in Jayson Tatum, but that doesn’t mean B.J. and I and … other members of my staff couldn’t talk and try to formulate the best plan to get a player we were really high on to a place we felt he really wanted to go and would be a great fit for him.

Hmm..

Sounds like McD promised starting or heavy minutes for Jackson hence Jackson and BJ Armstrong put Suns as a higher priority in regards to work outs.

Ainge won't like McDonough going public.

He didn't like getting up at 4am the threshold isn't high lol.

Josh Jackson's agent should get the credit. This was orchestrated by him and Jackson.
