Umm hell no. That's the thing about signing this "PF" type player - Millsap. Blake Griffin. They are going to want long years, big dollars. As it is now, Chandler and Dudley are off the books in 2019. The summer that Booker can be a FA. So, if you don't do anything with those two - that's good timing. Granted, Chriss and Bender are one year later after Knight comes off
Millsap will be three years - probably $70m
Blake is going to be like 5/125 or whatever
To me, if the Suns do something has to be a two year deal maybe three years - expires so they will have cap space when these deals come to fruition. I still like my Dudley for LMA deal - but not sure 10m helps the Spurs enough without having to stretch Parker
Just looking at the Hawks: Knight and Len S&T for Millsaps and filler... three year deal for Paul
Dedmon might be an option at Center - granted, already have Chandler Len and Sauce
Why do people want to take away playing time from Chriss Bender and Jackson, when it was so clear that the playing time helped Chriss grow by leaps and bounds compared to him sitting on the bench. I just don't get it not a single one of those guys gets us more than 5 more wins maybe 7 at best and fighting for an 8th seed and takes away any flexibility we have if a great trade opportunity were to come up where we need to absorb contracts. Let the Kids Play!
Yes, it makes zero sense to sign any of these guys, and they won't want to sign here anyway. If we want to sign a vet PG to a reasonable small deal like Calderon or whatever for backup, fine, but not any of these star type players when we need our prizes for being bad to develop.
