The question comes back to why would he think that? The Knicks likely did some unprofessional ****. While I couldn't give a **** about him since he's not a Knick, I still say it's a sign of the dysfunction of the Knicks FO that they're the only team who pulls **** like this.

Dude prob had a good meeting, and went to far with it and believed it was destiny cause he may have received good vibes. I mean if Frank did not know, I highly doubt Monk Knew. He was prob Fed BS by his agent more than he was fed any promise by the Knicks. He was prob on the List of players, the Knicks liked but thats about it.

There was a rumor floating around that, just like Brandon Jennings, we had a secret second workout with Monk.

But that doesn't promise anyone anything.

Yeah like DSJ being brought back in for a second Meeting. I bet he prob though Orl was going to pick him as well. I don't doubt Monk was on the list, but being salty about it is kinda lame. Like he said, be happy that you got drafted.

I think Frank can be a good peace on a very good team. Plays D, can hit an outside shot, has high BBIQ. His length on Defense will cause havoc. Dude has a 7ft + wingspan on a 6'5 frame. Not only that has big hands ala Kawhi. And he's only 18!!! He has ALOT of room to grow his game.

How many of those guys have been put in a situation to win a chip? DRose, 1 year. Francis & Marbury never had anything close to a contender situation in their primes.

Every team that Marbury leaves, gets better. Francis had decent seasons but he was an offensive / explosive guard that couldn't really defend his position. He was a liability.

It's never been a clean addition by subtraction thing with Marbury, though that stigma got passed around. Those teams went and got a bunch of players and their own guys took leaps. That was always cheap armchair analysis.

Even if you believe it, when were they on anything resembling contenders?

Why would we have ever promised Monk if we were always targeting Frank?

It is kind of funny that people would rather believe that the Knicks did something insidious than just believe that a 19 yr old can catch feelings and then act like a baby.

Having come back from Africa, I can safely say...yeah even the poorest America is privileged.

These Euro league ballers, they're playing for COUNTRY...and that means something even though in this country, we all play the blame game.

KP did skip out but notice, he's not playing Phil's mind game job. He's just living like a monk/gym rat. Let your GAME do the talking.

Remember something, it's NOT where you start...it's where you Finish that Counts the most.

Frank Nicotine is going to be a VERY unselfish, athletic playmaker and defender. THAT's what's missing on this team.

I posted this bit from an article yesterday. His family moved from Rwanda to Belgium a couple years after the civil war. His two older brothers are now a back surgeon and a physical therapist. 0,001% of immigrants from less developed countries achieve that kind of career in Europe. Frank comes from a very stable family environment.

This is the kind of kid I want on our team. He's exactly what we've bee looking for, in terms of character. Hell, I'd want this kind of kid in my family.

Monk - you're a SG that's PG sized. You have short arms, and you don't play defense. Count yourself lucky if you're as good as Eric Gordon one day.

That was some deep gamesmanship by Cuban. Dude hired one of his coaches and traveled to France to meet him. When you're filthy rich I guess you will go to any lengths to get what you want. Considering how high the Knicks were on Frank already, I don't even think it was necessary. But good job on the tomfoolery! I hope it fails miserably in Dallas!

Matthews, Noel, DSJ, Barnes, Dirk, Curry and Ferrell. Not a bad group.

Maybe the Mavs got a player who will do better than Frank. Maybe not. But tweeting out about his dick and women's bodily functions did not make him seem to be in the same league as Frank, in terms of character.

Yeah 9 other teams didn't pick you either but ok

Every NBA player, fan, media analyst, hates this team join the club

It's really nothing. Why did the reporter ask him that question? Monk was just trying to give a cool answer. He may be disappointed he didn't wind up in NYC, but he's not going to have a chip on his shoulder for that. Otherwise, he'd have to go down the line starting with Philly, LA, Boston ...

I thought he was holding the #17 because it is the 2017 draft. A lot of teams do that if the player they chose has not pre-selected a number.
Revolution starts in the mind...
