I'm on board with this pick. Dennis Smith is in the mold of Steve Francis/ Stephon Marbury/ Derrick Rose type of PG.Yes, he's talented but how many championships do those type of players win?

I think Frank can be a good peace on a very good team. Plays D, can hit an outside shot, has high BBIQ. His length on Defense will cause havoc. Dude has a 7ft + wingspan on a 6'5 frame. Not only that has big hands ala Kawhi. And he's only 18!!! He has ALOT of room to grow his game.

How many of those guys have been put in a situation to win a chip? DRose, 1 year. Francis & Marbury never had anything close to a contender situation in their primes.

Every team that Marbury leaves, gets better. Francis had decent seasons but he was an offensive / explosive guard that couldn't really defend his position. He was a liability.

It's never been a clean addition by subtraction thing with Marbury, though that stigma got passed around. Those teams went and got a bunch of players and their own guys took leaps. That was always cheap armchair analysis.

Even if you believe it, when were they on anything resembling contenders?

His two older brothers are now a back surgeon and a physical therapist. 0,001% of immigrants from less developed countries achieve that kind of career in Europe. Frank comes from a very stable family environment.

This is the kind of kid I want on our team. He's exactly what we've bee looking for, in terms of character. Hell, I'd want this kind of kid in my family.
