And Giannis is just starting. Even if basketball was not the main topic, he talked about his goals and he admitted that he doesn’t want to limit them: “I don’t want to sound cocky, but I have the highest possible goals. I want to be a champion with the Bucks, I want to be the MVP, I want to be part of the best 50 of all time and then I want to be the best ever who played the game”.

Sadly, he doesn't mention the Bucks in the actual video; Just mentions wanting to be a champion. But, this is awesome:

Yeah that same interview he said this

The two brothers credited their parents for the values they inherited and they touched subject of them being Greek, born by Nigerian immigrants in Athens. “Nobody can say to me that I am not Greek”, said Giannis. “I didn’t know anything else in my life. I have never been to Nigeria. We are the children of 11 million Greeks”.

That's just amazing. You can tell when he mentions his heritage or wanting to be a buck that it's truly genuine.

Ah okay, I still love his desire to be the best ever. I just hope and pray the Bucks surround him with the talent he deserves.

I know it's just a fun confidence piece but his ceiling really is an interesting topic. I honestly do think his ceiling is GOAT. And imo the only other young guy in the league with that type of max upside is Embiid. Like if at his peak Giannis is KG defensively and 80-85% of LeBron offensively, isn't that a GOAT tier peak?

That level for 8 or 9 years makes you top 50, I'd say, but it doesn't put you on the basketball Mt. Rushmore. 30K points and 3+ championships puts him in the conversation. And that's a conversation I hope we have someday.

Amazing
They're talking about human rights in Greece, and they found two random black dudes who spoke about it on camera, and Giannis knew them both personally

I don't know if people know, but if you are you're born in Greece to immigrant parents, you get a temporary residency until you are 18 years old, but no citizenship. And then at 18 the temp residency is also taken away, and you are technically illegal in the country. Both Giannis and Thanasis were stuck in this limbo (especially Thanasis for nearly 3 years) until they were given citizenship by exception so they can play for the NT. They've both seen the absolute worst of this country, and yet they hold no grudges, they only talk about the positives and always want to come back and contribute in any way they can. Some times I don't know what to say really.
