The Summer League is the only time of year when we'll be permitted to root for the Bulls to win, so there is that.

Bulls better win they probably have the best and most experienced team if Sixers dont bring Saric, Simmons and Embiid which Im pretty sure they wont

I actually enjoy the Summer League much more than I do the NBA season. There is less predictability in the Summer League.

Not your fault, GarPax did a number on us.

season starts early this year...

Valentine

These guys will get a lot of minutes next season.

well, you have a point there; however, the negativity that will come with any poor outing is of epic proportion. While a dominating performance in Summer League does not necessarily predict future success in the regular season, but bad performances are usually over-analyzed, at least until the preseason.

There's guys who dominated summer league now who are becoming pretty good players now in the league. Tony Snell isn't a bad player just will most likely be in the league for long time.

TJ Warren and CJ McCollum are two guys who i watched in summer said these guys are gonna be good scorers in the league. Bobby Portis will probably be around in league for a while too.

If the Bulls do, you would be complaining to much to ever hear it.

NBA fan logic we need to trade one of two best players because (Player X) one needs to shine more.

Grant shouldn't play. My issue with Grant is he is horrible for setting up the offense. But still pick him as a guy who might break out. He shot 3 well and he shoots free throws well too.

Summer league players actually give 200% effort compared to the regular seasons 75% effort. Its always fun watching guys really play hard

He should not play PG because he's a ball stopper. He holds.

I don't see how he fits in Hoiball as a ball stopper. I see him gettting traded or watching a lot.

As for Payne... he was awful but he did play with Pace. He pushed the ball and you know agar wants him to succeed.

Let's make this the official SL thread.

As Johnny posted, Antonio Blakeney is on the roster now.

From LSU - I actually watched him play here in Australia. Very bouncy, gets a lot of elevation on his J, but is a chucker with tunnel vision, imo. Not really a fan and don't think he'll make it in the NBA. Had a lot of hype coming out of HS.

Some clips for those interested -

Well, he is at least an amazing athlete, with 39.5 no-step vertical and a whopping 45" running vertical. Since this forum falls in love every year with a Summer League prospect, he might become our Spencer Dinwiddie of last year. Speaking of Dinwiddie, when I look back, there was no reason for him not to get a roster spot over guys like Jerian Grant and Isaiah Cannan

Should be a pretty strong SL team again. Hoping we see a step up from some of these guys. Looks like we have some solid signings as well - wouldn't be surprised to see someone get a contract offer.

Blakeney is only 20 and he's got an athletic base to work with, so if he shows anything I would like to give him a shot. We need super young guys.

Does anyone know what the situation is with the undrafted guys like Dozier, Motley, Oliver etc.? Did they sign with the teams or is it just SL deals that other teams can poach if they want?

Didn't know where to put this, but Zipser apparently won't play for the German national team in the Eurobasket this summer. Wants to focus on the Bulls.

Brimah looks like he could be a nice complement to Markhannen. He is long, athletic and a very good defender. While teams are trying to emulate the Golden State Warriors, I think the Milwaukee Bucks have something cooking with their two versatile seven-footers, Thom Maker and Greek the Freak. Once Maker figures things out, the league should watch out. I predict this is going to be the next wave. We need to follow that pattern by trying to get a mobile and athletic big to put next to Markhannen.
