So KP just sent them a message that they need to do something about all of this, and he is not gonna just sit quietly..

And I like how some even mention KP is CREATING MORE DRAMA. Guy just missed the meeting, and hasn't done anything since then, just posted videos of him working hard. Again, all this trade drama came from Phil..

Imagine if KP trashed the organization in his exit meeting, then kept talking to the media about all the issues.. Nah, there would be no drama.

KP is actively blowing off Jeff and Phil when they try to contact him.

No. They both have said that KP hasn't answered them, and they haven't been able to speak to him directly.

No matter how you slice it and even if he is defending Melo, the dude is still being a brat. You blew off the meeting that was designed for you to tell Phil you don't like what he is doing. Basically KP is acting like he has Balls, but does not have any. He was to scared to confront Phil, and figured running away in protest was the way to let him know he does not like the direction. He releases info thru his brother instead of telling Phil to his face. I like KP and want him to stay, but he showing no backbone and instead showing that he still wears pampers. That stuff was aired on a multiple of occasions during the season. Not defending missing that meeting, but probably there was not much left to say on this. we should not think that any internal team interactions are reported in the media. Even in NY. Running away.? Can't see that this way. He will be spending his summers in Latvia in future as well, baring any formal obligations. Count on it. That's not called running away, but going home.

When I say running away I mean not speaking like a man face to face. He could have stayed in NY for all I care it still a sucker move just like Phils sucker move. funny thing is PJax wouldve respected him more if he just aired out whatever the **** he was feeling at that point in time. **** is shook of phil had to get Janis the amateur to handle it. i hate that **** hair.

yeah man Phil came in here and reversed 15 years of excellent work by this organization. What is he thinking keeping all our picks and drafting exciting young players like KP, Frank and Willy. I miss the days where we were trading unprotected 1st for Tmac and Bargs and our GM was going to court for a sexual harassment case. That's nothing compared to sending stupid tweets. Can't wait to fire him and get back to the good old days.

That does not erase the embarrassment he's caused with his unnecessary drama. If he did his job quietly and acted like a professional, nobody would be killing him right now, even with his losing record.

I agree theres no debate on that. But media and fans alike are acting he's set back the franchise years and has been the worst president we have ever had when that's further from the truth. Do I wish we had someone like Buford, Presti or even Sean Marks honestly... yeah. But we're the Knicks and the idea we will get someone completely component to run the Knicks after Phil is gone is naive as hell. We should all appreciate the fact that he's looked out for the future of the Knicks, making it a top priority to protect our future assetts. Especially considering his role with the franchise will likely end in a couple years. Yes it seems obvious, but like we've done the complete opposite for over a decade before he came here.

Yeah there's only one real time they actually filmed this and this would have been the summer after his rookie year. This was filmed in Latvia for the most part. He didn't sign with Adidas until right before the 2016-2017 season started

In New York EVERYTHING is drama in the making. PK should have been advised by his brothers that doing ANYTHING that will cause a media frenzy will dramatized for months and should be avoided. His brothers did not protect him from himself and or outside relationship with Melo.

Look, just take a NY minute and look, even the most ardent KP fans are displeased at him. His image has taken a huge hit that will follow him into the season. Listen, there are many many fans that do not accept insubordination, period.

Look at Derek Jeter and the NY Yankees, as an example. No team perhaps other than the Cowboys draws so much attention and drama. But the dude just played the game at the highest level, irregardless of the drama around him and comings and goings of teammates.

100% KP is doing this because of Melo. He grew up idolizing him. And he finally got Melo's respect that first year he was here and probably was on the moon because of it. Now he sees Melo getting pushed out and wants to stand up for him.

He really needs to realize this is a business and about winning. The knicks and Melo aren't winning anymore so its time to part ways. Still doesn't excuse missing the meeting and not talking to your president/gm/coach. Hopefully when we get back to camp we can move on once Melo is gone.

That's what I took out of it as well. It seems KP loves Melo. He's sticking up for him. Kind of like if someone was disrespecting your brother or best friend. Would you want to work or play or be friendly with that person? I know it's a job and KP gets paid a lot of money and it's probably not a good example but that's the point. Phil should have never used twitter or Rosen to bash Melo. He should have acted like a professional and done it privately behind closed doors. This is on him. Phil is the boss and he's 100% responsible.

But NY pro sports is a gravitational pull for drama and he put undue pressure on himself. Not to mention that many on the General board or BB fanbases in total, do not approve of his actions.
This will hurt his image and brand somewhat going forward, long after Melo has retired.

I feel that Melo as "team leader" should have advised him against it too, not flamed it and put the kid in a bad spot.
