What kind of character issues?

I like the measurements, I like the tape, I like the option to stash...

I'm getting more concerned about the character stuff

To me they look very close in height... maybe Simmons is slightly taller. Bolden is legit 6ft 10"... so you could argue that Simmons is 6ft 11.

Not sure where the "character issues" rumour has come from. In fact you tend to hear the exact opposite. There was a rumour he was leaving UCLA because of "Academic Issues" but he said that wasn't true it was purely because he wasn't getting the opportunity at UCLA so he decided to go to Europe instead of changing school and losing another year.

http://www.espn.com.au/nba/story/_/id/19640424/jonah-bolden-refuses-accept-less-nba-draft-destiny

Bolden's American teammate at FMP, Isaiah Austin, went through the NBA draft workout process in 2014, and knows exactly what awaits the Australian in Los Angeles. He believes his teammate is more than up for it.

"He asked me what to expect, and I told him, 'Basketball, bro," Austin told ESPN. "He doesn't have character problems, so what it's going to come down to for him is basketball. How tight are your moves? How tight are your skills? How good are you at taking care of your body? From what I've seen, he's excelled at all those things. I know from the middle of the season [in Serbia] to now, the guy just keeps going. He's crazy, he's nonstop."

I don't think he's got character issues.. he's not the smartest guy around, academic or otherwise, you can kind of get that vibe from hearing him talk even, but his Bball IQ is sound and he's not a bad person at all.

I found a few articles written before the draft identifying Bolden as a lottery talent most likely to go in the second round. Makes me feel like we may have gotten a steal.

Both are now 6'11'' in basketball talk or in real terms (bare feet) just under 6'10''.

I followed him religiously all draft, and wanted the Bulls to consider him at 16. You definitely got a steal in my eyes. Question is, I question if you'll ever find room for him in the rotation - doesn't seem like it so long as you have both Simmons and Saric around.

Jonah kind of thinks he can play SF, and maybe he could part-time down the track, but he's definitely a PF in my eyes, maybe a tiny bit of a small-ball 5 at times as well.

I think he has a good chance to be our backup 5 if/when we trade away Richaun Holmes for value.

I think that would be a mis-use imo. His frame also isn't ready for C minutes imo. The moment you trade away Holmes is the moment you should bring Pasecniks over, in my eyes. He's a strong prospect.

Yeah I think defensively they all defend the PF spot best, however, Simmons can prob defend either forward position, and Jonah can prob match up against a variety of players so we should be able to find minutes.

I could see a bigger lineup at times with Jonah/Saric at the 4, Simmons defending the 3, and Cov the 2.

I like the selection of Bolden and I hope he's going to come to the Sixers this season.

Imho, he is more NBA ready than what people think and he could bring a lot of equilibrium to our frontcourt rotation.

This may be a poorly formed hot take, but I think Pasecniks is nothing more than a novelty four. I can't imagine him even being passable enough on the glass to be a serious option at the five.

Of the two, I think Lessort is the guy that allows us to look into moving Holmes now. Lessort protects the rim (albeit with poor foul discipline) and dominates the glass. I prefer my C to have both of those qualities.

Holmes has no trade value.

Soles on the shoes look pretty fat, I'd say they are same height and Ben is probably 6'11.

No need to trade Holmes. He's cheap, hustles, and has started hitting threes. He's a valuable player.

Korkmaz and Bolden will play at SL right?

That's all well and good, however if we're not planning on resigning him in 2 years, then we should trade him for value at some point instead of letting him walk for nothing.
