Hopefully alot of this schit ends soon. I don't want Franks Rookie year be full of more BS than it has to be. I want him and KP to be the reverse Stockton and Malone in the future

In New York EVERYTHING is drama in the making. PK should have been advised by his brothers that doing ANYTHING that will cause a media frenzy will dramatized for months and should be avoided. His brothers did not protect him from himself and or outside relationship with Melo.

Look, just take a NY minute and look, even the most ardent KP fans are displeased at him. His image has taken a huge hit that will follow him into the season. Listen, there are many many fans that do not accept insubordination, period.

Look at Derek Jeter and the NY Yankees, as an example. No team perhaps other than the Cowboys draws so much attention and drama. But the dude just played the game at the highest level, irregardless of the drama around him and comings and goings of teammates.

Well, I really don't think his image took a hit..

Everything i've heard, and read. Outside of Knicks fans  , everyone is on KP`s side.

Absolutely NOT true! Many fans in here have suggested the once unthinkable. That if Phil can get a great haul for him, than bye bye KP.
Many of these fans are ardent KP fans before he turned into a brat. Even Charles Oakley has called him an unproven diva, who in fact disrespected the "greatest coach of all-time" (his own words).

Does that look like his image didn't take a hit? I ask you.

He really needs to realize this is a business and about winning. The knicks and Melo aren't winning anymore so its time to part ways. Still doesn't excuse missing the meeting and not talking to your president/gm/coach. Hopefully when we get back to camp we can move on once Melo is gone.

That's what I took out of it as well. It seems KP loves Melo. He's sticking up for him. Kind of like if someone was disrespecting your brother or best friend. Would you want to work or play or be friendly with that person? I know it's a job and KP gets paid a lot of money and it's probably not a good example but that's the point. Phil should have never used twitter or Rosen to bash Melo. He should have acted like a professional and done it privately behind closed doors. This is on him. Phil is the boss and he's 100% responsible.

disagree here. KP is an employee and still needs to fall in line. Especially because he really hasn't done anything too crazy in the league. He hasn't made and all-star team he hasn't carried this team to the playoffs. He still a young super promising player but he doesn't have the cache' in the league to pull of this move.

He just needs to be more intellegent. Melo career will be over next year regardless. Would he really opt in to a organization that doesn't want him? So the knicks are trying to rebuild and Melo knows it but still doesn't care.

And "dissrespecting" melo is a bit much. He said melo holds the ball and does play defense. That isn't being dissrespectful that is being real. Sorry that players are oversensitive but if Melo was a flawless player we wouldn't have missed the playoffs.

Melo is 33 the knicks next 3 best players are 22 years or younger now. Does melo not see the writing on the wall. Or he doesn't care about the organization then. So KP standing up for that while we are trying to build something around KP would be stupid.

So no its not 100% on Phil. This is a 50-50 situation. Seems like Phil and the knicks are trying to reach out and KP is still being a baby about it. Man up like ill said. He's too key to this organization to keep this charade up and that is exactly what it is...a charade.

that only happens with Melo off the team. Can't have this black cloud over the organization during camp. Don't need the young player answer questions about the phil/melo situation.

Yeah, that's what I said. Only some Knicks fans, Knick related people are bashing him. I hardly imagine his image took a hit outside of the organization. Everyone calls Knicks a joke, so they applauded KP of at least trying to do something about it. Of course, you can argue about the method he choose, but its better do do something, rather than nothing.. right?

KP should be offering phil bj's, not to ship him out of new york.

This is new york.

KP dont wanna attempt to stay here, despite us being ran by jim dolan, then he can get the phuck out.

One way ticket to Detroit, the worst city to live in.

Yes.
And why Phil publicly said he doesn't want a 7'3" big camping outside taking jumpers, we say that here too.

of course, but why one over the other? Like there's a lot of reason for people to want to fire Phil, but can't you also believe that KP also made a stupid mistake by skipping the exit meeting?

he's not shaq or hakeem and he's never gonna be. he might get better inside but it will never be his bread and butter. he's a shooter. that's what he does. that's why they talked about him being the next dirk. if phil doesn't like that, he should have never taken him.

Yep, he made a mistake doing it (even if I think it was the right move sticking up for what he believes in)...but, the way I see it at least, it would never have happened if Phil didn't create turmoil this season. (If you don't mind, I don't want to get into this because I've said numerous times why I believe this.) He should have responded to Horny though, who I feel is simply an innocent bystander from this whole mess (even if I wish we never signed him to begin with).
