KP to Melo sometime in the near future, when he realizes just how stupid his role in this whole fiasco he created is.

I don't think this has anything to do with mental toughness. I think this kid means business, and I think the Knicks are right to worry about whether he's a fit a long-term, given how pathetic we've been long-term. He will not stay past year five unless we get our act together.

Sure, his game has PLENTY of room to grow - but he's not content with losing, much less tanking in perpetuity.

Porzingis' problem right now is that he lacks the technique necessary to be an alpha scorer - but he's not shy about taking shots at the beginning of a game. This guy takes threes that make you think that he has no conscience (which is, of course, the mark of an alpha scorer).

He just needs to upgrade his skill across the board, particularly in the mid-range and low-post games.

Is Porzingis immature? Yes, and he's also 21.

Is he insanely talented? Yes.

Is he demonstrating the work ethic necessary to become an elite player? Yes.

What's the minimal take for KP from NY's standpoint. Future 1st, Dieng for KP and Noah's corpse?

So we trading Lee? Or we signing and trading Rose for Rubio? Or we saying fck it and going into the year as is?
WTF Post of 2017:

If Phil pulled that off, I would put a put a paper bag over my head, paste a picture of Jeannie on it, poke a hole through the mouth, and give Phil the best BJ he's ever had in his entire life.[/quote]

Thibs doesn't want Rose....that rumor came from NY, several times. Thibs doesn't release any info, just like on the draft prospects. Had he wanted Rose, he would have made it happen already. Rose is going to be in the leftover pile from FA....teams that need to get to the floor or have absolutely no PG will be interested. If the Wolves want a scoring PG, they'll be aiming higher than Rose.

Normally, a guy like Kmart shouldn't be able to talk. But he looks like an iron man next to Noah!

Well that's good news for NY KP fans.....as he won't get traded with that being the starting point!

I too thought the Kings would be interested in Rose....but yeah, Fox really makes that move redundant. I think they plan to let him hit the ground running. On top of that, how big a of a bitch would Rose be if he was sent to the bench in favor of a 19 year old. I don't think he's at that acceptance stage of where he really is in today's NBA.

I never said it was.....that was a question for the people who were calling KP soft, mentioning red flags and what not. Phil would hands down be the worst GM in history to move a young player with his upside for merely another young player with talent. It would be so lateral that it would actually be stupid.

Phil was getting smoked by journalist and pundits all around due to his handling of the Melo situation and overall standing of the team. Yet KP and his representation thought they could strong arm Phil which would hopeful lead to Phil's firing and it backfired. Instead KP came off as arrogant and immature.

They were certainly able to pour some gas on the Phil fire. They didn't realize they'd spill some on themselves and there would be a flame over.

They also underestimated the lack of "fcks given" by James Dolan.

Despite the widespread panic, I think the relationship is salvageable. I don't think anything was said on either side that can't be worked out.

Exactly. This is a guy who called Kobe uncoachable and then came back and coached him to 2 rings. If Kobe Bryant could get over Phil's flaws and vice versa then I think so long as Phil gets out of his own way and builds a solid roster around KP this can be fixed. I don't think KP has the kind of venom(mamba pun fully intended) in him that Kobe has.

Thank you Noah for saving this franchise once again, what a great signing he turned out to be, can not wait til he gets new knees, legs, and arms after surgery and dominate the courts

HES TRAINING.......IN LATVIA. Can we as fans just have done patience for a goddamn second. Ny fans are like people who leave an argument with thier girlfriend/boyfriend and spend the next 8 hrs chain texting a person whose probably just stuck at work.

The kid said he wants to be in NY, stop acting so desperate. Its the off season. Hes working out, building muscle, working on moves, playing for national teams. He said with his own mouth and even through his brothers that he wants to be in NY.

Phil plays the cold shoulder all the time. It took Melo months to get a meeting with Phil. If Phil needs to speak with him maybe he'll get off his ass and actually visit europe cuz we know he didn't do so for Frank. Im not saying KP made the best decision but the decision was made. Let the pot simmer. Jesus Christ

Who knows what he's working on? He should be working on not having opponents a foot shorter than him push him out of the post. I'm sure he would have been told that in the exit meeting. Hopefully his idiot brother has told him the same thing.

Who cares where he is? They have phones and internet in Latvia.

We know, because he's still posting videos and getting shot down by Instagram models.
