Here's a story that just dropped by Stein on that 3 way trade if anyone's interested

Speaking as a fan of the Cavs whenever they're not playing us...I'd love to see them add cheap ring chasers to better rival GSW. Melo and Wade would be quite the banana boat, but how does it help? Maybe force splash Bros to spend a lot of energy on defense with waves of crafty veteran stars? But if they come for minimum salary it's fun for little risk. Reminds me of 2004 Lakers.

Drexler said the 80s Celtics were the first "superteam" but he's wrong since the Big 3 were basically homegrown. Lakers with Wilt might have been the first. Otherwise it's Barkley on Houston, 04 Lakers, 08 kg/Ray new big 3, lbj heat, KD warriors. And only LeBron and KD were real cap space player conspiracy travesties. If a ton of NBA players think Lebron is leaving Cleveland, it makes sense.

I'm sure Lebron has or will place a phone call to PG letting him know his 3 year plan prior to any trade or extension agreement.

Boston may be in a better position to acquire PG, but one thing to consider... PG is much more likely to resign and stick with the Cavs if traded there than he is with Boston. Danny won't go all out without some agreement.. which he won't get. Lebron is willing to bet that PG will fall in love playing with him... good bet to make.

I'd guess that it was Indy floating this three team trade deal, Cleveland seems to have their hands full. I'm sure George would much rather extend into Cleveland's hornets' nest of continuity than come to a stable franchise.

I will say, for Indiana, if you can get Harris, Barton, Mudiay and a 2018 Denver pick....that's a pretty damn good haul for your disgruntled star on a one year deal. I wouldn't blame the Pacers if they took that deal.

But I will blame Lebron. So f**k him.

Except Barton is a borderline starter/bench player, mudiay blows donkey balls and the 2018 pick from denver would be in the early to late teens which is worthless.

We can give 2 proven starters for a playoff team, a pick just as valuable as the den pick, and the Lotto pick from LA/Sac/Phil

Ok so analyzing the proposed Nuggets Cavs Pacers. If Denver isn't willing to offer Jokic and Murray, then what is their best offer? Hernangomez, Barton/Harris and some other lessers assets and picks? Seems like Indiana is waiting on us.

We could offer one of Brown/Tatum and the Lakers pick which would destroy any other teams offer. plus we would still have next years brooklyn pick and keep brown or Tatum.

Which is the brilliance of the Philly trade if he truly didn't value Fultz over Tatum.

I hope we don't have to pay so much. But I don't think he will be as cheap as some hope. He will cost at least the Lakers pick of our four major assets.

It requires cap room we won't have if we've signed Hayward (or another max FA) first. It could only happen before the trade.
