No, the difference is the Warriors and Spurs have coachable players dedicated to MOVEMENT and playing off one another. Once our players learn the basics, then it is UP TO THE PLAYERS to read, react and improvise all within the system. Once we get it down pat and have the right type of players, suddenly it won't look "elementary." But I understand where you coming from, however, you just need to give it some time because teams don't become great overnight. it's the same in every sport.
No.
We are the only team hell bent on playing pure triangle.
Those other teams run sets from it, but it's not the main offense.

Sorry but you have no clue what you are talking about here. Pure triangle?Your overwhelming hatred of Phil is clouding reality. I would get into a discussion with you but so far you seem like a drive-by poster. You chirp stuff out, I respond and you disappear. Not falling for it anymore.

These type of coaches don't like frantic pace 3 point shooting... or one trick pony teams like Gundy's Magic, Woodson's Knicks & D'antoni's Suns/Rockets.
What's the point of being 7'3 if all he does stand behind 3 point line. Once he is in high post he can post up, drive to lane, get foul calls, shoot over (jumpshot, hook, fadeaway etc.) or get double teams & find cutters.
This has been the main difference between a guy like Nowitzki & other stretch fours.

I totally agree. I'm willing to see how the triangle works for another season with players 100% bought in. I'm curious to see how we fare this season.

True.
Very few players will discuss how Pop would crush player's egos to MAKE them play his system.
Earlt on, Tony Parker was regularly gettng chewed out publically by Pop. Now LA wants to leave the puppet master. But Pops system works and so does Phil's and how old is Pops system again?
Pops system is as old as Larry Brown. And don't forget Tim Duncan who also ripped TP to shreds.
Porzingis and Frank should reach out to Parker for advice.

I'm here to talk Knicks basketball with fellow fans who agree and disagree with me. That is all. Stop being a drive-by poster and I'll engage further with you. I don't take sports stuff personally when someone attacks my opinions. Perhaps you should do the same.
On this issue lets just agree to disagree and move on.

We are the only team that wants to run "pure" triangle sets as our basic offense. No other team in the NBA does so. Phil doesn't want a hybrid. He has shown that with the way he acts when they are not running the system HIS way.
*Can someone post that gif of Phil afer we won and he was mad about it?

Of course. But its easier under Hornacek. He has plenty of experience with young teams, where as Pop has never really had to part of a complete rebuild or power struggle.
It would have drove him to give up like JVG and D'Antoni. Jjj

Because when given freedom, both under Fisher and Hornacek the teams goe into 1 pass and shoot offense. The results were huge losing streaks.
Me? I applaud the move, hard, basic European basketball. If Melo doesn't agree to a stretch buyout nothing will. Jajaja

I wouldn't be expecting things to look all that great next year. I'd be happy if they just show improvement from the start of the season until the end and don't even need to see a lot of wins just improvement showing the players are getting it.

You blew off the meeting that was designed for you to tell Phil you don't like what he is doing. Basically KP is acting like he has Balls, but does not have any. He was to scared to confront Phil, and figured running away in protest was the way to let him know he does not like the direction. He releases info thru his brother instead of telling Phil to his face. I like KP and want him to stay, but he showing no backbone and instead showing that he still wears pampers. Dont try to act Gully when you not ready to be Gully yet. You just make schit look even worse. KP could have told PJ FOH you suck! instead he runs away and leaves a bunch of speculation in the air. Even thoe he wants to stay, KP is the dude who would rather break up over Text than Just tell shorty to her face. Man up my dude. Hd should have been aired out his beef to Phil with him face to face. Thats what real leaders or bosses do. His brothers are clowns.
