Am I the only one that believes that we may have just drafted our own PG (Carmelo with his head screwed on right) and wont have to pay him more than Rook #3 $$ or give up any valuable assets in order to bring him in b/c he's already here..

Add two more high lotto picks to the mix over the next 2 drafts amd tell the rest of the league to go eff themselves for trying to overcharge us for everything. Build from within on our own terms.

WE JUST ADDED AN ELITE SCORING/HIGH BBIQ/HIGHCHARACTER/HIGHCEILING #3 overallTO A 53 WIN TEAM.! And can do it again the next 2 Drafts, AND ADD HAYWARD ...BE HAPPY !!

Yeah this PG thing probably isn't happening.

I'm excited for Tatum and will get to see the squad at the Utah Jazz Summer League (I live just outside Salt Lake)

SLCceltic, did you live in Utah or are you still here? Need some more Celtics fans... :D

Your adding Heyward and PG.

My point still stands.

Even if we brought the same team back from last year, we beat the Cavs. Might have done it this year if healthy.

I'm no Celts homer and have been a huge LeBron supporter since forever ago, but they are just another team now.

Limped into the playoffs going 23-23 down the stretch, then drew two teams missing their best player before getting spanked.

Wasn't impressed. Next year, both teams will be a year older, which is only good news for one of the teams.

Warriors OTOH...

Maybe. We need to get better, competition aside. Our team is closest to the 2001 squad that overachieved and made the conference finals. Stevens is a great coach, and we have players with great intangibles who are easy to root for - but don't have illusions about how good we are.

We're in such good position right now that even our plan G is a big improvement.

My worry would be that we don't add any free agents, even a rotation big, don't trade for anyone, and use the cap space to renegotiate IT and Bradley.

Last year I was all in on the rumors and the chatter. This year I didn't buy a word of anything. That difference in perspective makes me feel so many mehs towards Paul George. I would've traded one of your first-borns for him last year. But this year? You can keep your kid.

But I will blame Lebron. So f**k him.

If you consider Mudiay a bust it's not great. Harris. A role player in Barton, and a mediocre pick since Denver likely will turn the corner. Lal/Sacto pick blows it away, this is why we may need to cash it in.

Yeah all things considered, if we offer Bradley, Crowder, Rozier, the LAL pick and one of LAC/MEM picks, that trade should be much more appetizing to Indiana.

But if Denver gives up Murray all bets are off unless Ainge offers up one of Brown, Tatum, or the BKN18

Can we confirm that it was Harris, Barton, Mudiay (Wilson Chandler?) and a 2018 Denver pick offered to Indiana in this 3 way trade? Reports I saw just mentioned George to CLE and Love to DEN and was vague about what Denver is giving up and Indiana receiving.

I just think why would Den give all that up and send Faried to CLE just for Kevin Love? That's like pretty much their whole team minus Joker and Jamal Murray for borderline-all-star Kevin Love. I don't see how Denver gets better or why they do this.

I'm not hearing anything over the past 24 hours that I haven't heard on the radio over the past few days. A whole lotta nothing right now, guys.

I'm not Ron Paul, saying "it's happening!!", but I'm not ready to kill it yet. We simply don't have the info. We're all in the dark until sh-t actually happens....

Exactly. We already knew Cleveland was trying to rope teams Into a three team and we're still interested in making a deal. But it still stands that teams don't want love and we can offer the best package after July 1

So relaxed. If it's Tatum, Hayward and a minor/major consolidation trade - that's still a great offseason.
