No FA's this year. Overachieve and look attractive to Cousins/Westbrook.
They are never coming to PHX.

As for KP, no doubt we all would, but if it didnt get done before the trade (With #4 included), i dont see how it would get done now.
Wasn't the Knicks target JJ? We still have all the piece discussed pre-trade. Don't see why it should be ruled out now?

Couldn't disagree more. Chriss and Bender project as good rim protectors, versatile defenders, and above average 3 point shooters.
They compensate for Blake's lack of blocks, allow the Suns to hide Blake on the worst defenders in the opposing front court, provide weak side rim protection when Blake gets switched onto smaller/quicker wings, and most importantly spread the floor and allow Blake to play as a point forward/center.
Griffin allows Watson/McD to institute a more positionless system now and that will be a huge benefit in developing our youth.
Chriss, Bender and Griffin all need to rebound at a higher rate, totally agree on that point.
Jordan and Blake do not pair well in today's NBA. I think it's the primary reason the Clips have underachieved.

I would love to see Griffin on this team. Do you think he is worth a massive contract?
100%. This year and next are the time frame the suns have to sign a high priced free agent. Every year they wait another young player comes up for a massive pay increase and the flexibility they have created gets more limited.

If he gets a huge offer I get moving on from him, but he is not somebody we should just move on from. His upside is still there and I think he can thrive in a more simplified role. For whatever reason, in the games when Tyson plays his numbers are awful. In the games when Tyson sat he broke out a bit.
In a world where Joel Embiid, Rudy Gobert, Kristaps Porzingis, Anthony Davis, and Myles Turner - all of whom do much more - exist?
Sure, Len gets blocks and "protects the rim" with 49.4% opponent FG%. Some exec is going to look at that and say "Why is no one talking about Alex Len? This kid is GREAT!" And then they'll offer him a huge contract and be pretty happy with it. Until they start seeing him on the floor and watching him make stupid-ass fouls and show off his brick-like hands and clink most of what should be money baskets of the back-iron. Then they'll say "****, we've been Mozgov'd!"

Theres some weird psychological thing that goes on. When its "#4," it can be had but only for a high price. As soon as we use it on a player, everyone becomes attached and somehow he has more value than 5 minutes before. Its kinda funny actually lol.

The FO will have to make a value judgement of whether he has the 'big men develop later' gene.

Say they offer him something in the low to mid 30 millions with no offset language. Would knight bet on himself and go find a cheap 1 year contract this year on a team he can play and try to get amother decent contract next summer. If he plays well he'll come out ahead financially over the next 3 years.

If he can simply play like Capela or McGee... It would be fine.. But he doesnt... He isnt bouncy enough. So he tries to contribute offensively by trying to score and he just clanks mid range shots or messes up close shots....

\Maybe give Len a shorter deal - nothing long term that ties up the cap and just see if he can improve. Chandler is not getting better these last two years - at best he flat lines or slowly gets worse. Granted his defense wasn't as good as Len but he could rebound. I am sure there is a team out there that could use a good rebounder like him - just not sure who and not sure what contract would have to take back

Booker is our franchise player and he should be untouchable. In 2K, these moves are great but in reality there are more factors to consider.

He averaged six shots a game.

Not really. I don't anticipate Len getting a huge offer. Warren maybe, but overall as Dudley and Chandler come off the books in 2 years our cap space should be at its highest. That will be the time to offer FA's--right before Booker hits RFA.

Between Len, Warren, and Big Sauce Suns could easily be looking at $30-$35 million in salary. And if the Suns need to cut ties with a draft pick in order to clear up a cap hold and generate some cap space I would rather it be Len than anyone else.
Chandler and Dudley will be about $25 million off the books in 2 years but given the roster construction and rookie scale expirations I think you are wrong. They can come off the books but the Suns will not gain max space from it. Not even close if they plan on keeping Len, Warren, and Williams.
