AB seems confident he's staying. Either we're only getting one star (or no star at all) or Zarren is a god.

This all reminds me of the Horford rumors last summer of Horford wanting to play with IT and one person really asking a lot about what it was like to play in Boston which lead to this player signing here. Honestly every other George scenario has been killed by his reps in the media except this one...why?

Means nothing. Avery is a contracted player, a Boston Celtic until he isn't.

The Celtics need more shooting, not less.

Watch Minny swoop in and get Paul George for Wiggins.

Yep, every day that clock ticks by is another day closer to another team upping their offer and making this difficult. I'd rather LAL/SAC over Wiggins, but can see how the Pacers could be woo'd be acquiring "a guy".

I'd take Wiggins. But if I was Minnesota, I wouldn't offer him.

I wonder what the % chances would be for no George, Hayward, or Griffin? Probably higher than we'd like to think. Scary.

I don't see a way ego-wise to go after Hayward THEN Griffin. Griffin will know he's option b and that doesn't help anything. Also a chance he gets signed by any of the other teams lining up for his services. I think we've got to meet with both asap and let both know we love you, you can help us win, blah blah blah. You let each know we've got a PG trade lined up, but you also let each know at earliest part of the pitch we're considering each of you. But you do it in a "which of you comes on board first determines how we round out the roster and we want you involved in that" kind of way. It avoids the ego of "why are you talking to him if you want me to bad". Also let them know while we don't want to rush you we don't want things to fall apart with PG while we want on a fa decision. Agents won't let them rush into a decision but will at least tip their cards a little perhaps. Then you really push towards the option most interested because time is of the essence in setting up these dominoes.

On a completely separate issue my phone autocorrects things to KD like no other. Simple words like of or it. It pisses me off every time!

Seriously hope PG doesn't go West though.

The East is so talent starved it's getting pathetic. The Bosh/Rose injuries basically killed two perennial playoff teams. Ditto D-Will's total collapse as a player. Now Butler's gone west. Lowry's probably going to follow. Rumbles of LBJ going West.

Milwaukee and Philly have been cursed with injuries. And just about every other EC franchise is incompetently run.

Wiggins is so overrated.

But back to Paul George. I have no interest in giving ANY significant assets for a one-year rental, and I don't care where he goes in 2017-18 so long as it isn't the Lakers. If the Wolves or the Cavs want to rent him for a year, so what?

I'm curious as to who is conducting negotiations for the Cavs, since they don't have a GM at the moment.

Then we just continue rebuilding. Develop the young players, keep our picks. Targeting a second choice like Gallo, Milsap or Ibaka would still move this team forward.

I think there's a really good chance we get at least one. Griffin to Boston just seems to make the most sense to me. But, we'll see!

ESPN Cleveland @ESPNCleveland
Windy says he doesn't know who the favorite is for Paul George, but it's definitely NOT the Cavs.
