Loved watching those Super Sonics Teams of the Glove and the Reign Man!

Kemp was unbelievably physical and gravity-defying.
Too bad he ate his way out of the league.
And my God, his passion for unprotected sex!

We haven't heard anything about Bam's father, other than Bam lived alone with his mom in a trailer.
I demand a paternity test!

Could his mom be one of the thousand women Kemp impregnated???

Honestly I wish I saw the Kemp similarities, but I really don't.

I also don't see the young Dwight type of explosiveness and bounciness.

To me he looks more like an Ibaka, good athlthe, good defender, and hopefully can hit shots.

Summer league will tell us more. He's still growing his game and body.

I definitely overreacted when I heard Adam Silver announce the one and only player in the entire 1st round that I didn't even bother to scout. But after further review it's becoming really hard for me to fathom the other lottery bigs,Zach Collins or Lauri Markannen, having a better career than Bam.

Lazy unrelated Kentucky bigman timeline comparison below:
DeMarcus Cousins.15.1ppg 9.8reb 55fg% 60ft%
Anthony Davis........14.2ppg 10.4reb 65fg% 70ft%
Nerlens Noel...........10.5ppg 9.5reb 59fg% 52%ft
Willie Caule-Stein......9.0ppg 6.4reb 57fg% 61ft%
Skal Labissierre .......6.6ppg 3.1reb 51fg% 66ft%
Karl Ant Towns.......10.3ppg 6.7reb 56fg% 81ft%
Bam Adebayo.........13.0ppg 8.0reb 60fg% 65ft%

Ibaka is a great comparison. I mentioned after the draft that he looked like he had the potential to be an Ibaka type player. I specifically remember having this convesation with Chalms. He gets triggered everytime he sees Ibaka's name

Here goes the exchange. This was before Riley even mentioned a Shawn Kemp comparison.

If Ibaka is the at least, what's the at most? :)

Shawn Kemp :o

Honestly, this is a decent pick. Haslem can teach him the lunch pail work ethic and bam is still growing. It depends on his coachability and personality. I'm reserving judgment until AFTER his first season of hitting the wall and all that. I mean, I didn't even recognize Wade's name when Riley chose him so I'm giving him one year to impress me as a Heat fan.

After watching that highlight clip I feel like he could be MVP and its not even close.

He strongly dislikes being compared to Dwight Howard.

I watched a lot of his highlights from college this morning; which is basically worthless. But Serge Ibaka is his ceiling, not Shawn Kemp. Bam is fluid and has surprisingly good footwork, but Kemp was a different breed of player.

It's quite amusing that four days after the draft Bam has now been compared to some combination of Kemp-Dwight-Ibaka when most had out the torches and pitchforks immediately following the pick.

No. Ibaka didn't have the defensive potential Adebayo has and Ibaka is not nearly as physical.

That's what I'm saying. Bam, JJ, and UD are going to be great gym partners.

Im sorry that a 19 year old that is 6'10 250 does not have full control of his body at the moment. Im sure this is something that will improve drastically as he develops.

Prime Serge was a dpoy candidate, no? Also on all NBA defense 1st and 2nd teams? Not nearly as physical? Didn't Ibaka get called for a lot of fouls and blocked a lot of shots and stuff? I'm not talking about the husk that's on the Raptors. Okc Serge was pretty damn good.

I don't feel like we need to limit him to being MVP of a particular year, workout footage indicates GOAT potential.
