Usually guys don't buy houses in Boston.
Lexington,Arlington, Belmont, Concord, are some of the towns I know of.

I've heard rumors that Hayward, George, and Blake Griffin are all taking substantial pay cuts and are now forced to share that house.
26,000 square feet between 3 people? What are they peasants?

After the trade deadline he definitely felt different. Not sure if i can find the link but Bradley said something about close to being traded or at least he felt like he was close to getting traded.

So essentially this is your bid to be a forum insider.![]()
The thing is, everyone knows the Celtics have been linked to Hayward for at least the past year, so even Hayward signing doesn't prove you right. I'm sure canman or whomever can help you out on getting verification cleared up, cause that's juicy for sure.
Not at all. For all I know, this could be a standard thing that athletes do when they're testing the FA market. He could have feelers with realtors down in Miami too or anywhere else he's looking.
This guy's sells houses. He's not an insider and neither am I. The Mods can delete the post if they want. I was just passing along what I was told. So take it for what it's worth. Or ignore it
No it's fair. We pretty much handle LARPers the old fashion way. Ie, ridicule.

I'm quite sure prices are not going to be a major problem nor factor in his house-hunting. He's made what, $60-80M and is staring at a max contract? Yeah, it's about fit, lifestyle, schools etc. It sure isn't going to have anything to do with price.

I don't see any way that George comes to the celtics. Danny would have to gut his team . I can see Crowder going but I don't see George coming here.

You only have to gut the team if you complete the trade before FA or you are just genuinely scared of the luxury tax which really shouldn't be a big factor here until next summer.

Lol at our good old friend, skywalker33, now showing up in the Pacers forum to tell those guys that there's absolutely no way they get Gary Harris in a deal for PG13. And yet here we are, willing to give up Crowder and AB (who is essentially Gary Harris' ceiling as a player) and 2 first rounders for George. Some dudes never learn.

Depends on how much he saved and how much he spent.
Weston was a preferred destination for Celtics players with the practice facility at HealthPoint in Waltham. Now that the Celtics are moving to Boston Landing, the best places to live are Wellesley or Newton/Chestnut Hill, because you can hop on the commuter rail. Driving to Boston Landing is going to be a PITA no matter where a player lives unless they install a special new exit off the Mass Pike, and I don't see that happening in my lifetime.

But would Hayward really go house hunting before he signs? I'm not saying it's not right, but just seems a little odd.
Well usually they search for houses, schools(don't know if hayward has kids) and pleasant neighborhood before they sign and that's part of the decisional process somehow.

I mean when it comes to schools we've got to be winning in that department at least right?

Re: The Pursuit of Paul George
What if DA was able to pull off a reworking of Avery's contract on his last year to make the trade easier to perform for PG13. Maybe that way we could keep Jae or even Smart/Rozier to maintain our bench depth that would conceivably be depleted. At least Smart and Rozier cause they're cheap and valuable. Not sure how comfortable that would be for DA or if it would even be possible. I ask, because people have floated out the possibility of PG reworking his contract and resigning with Indiana on a 3 year deal as per terms of his trade to Boston. We've determined that's no longer possible under Boston's constraints. But there's nothing that says we can't restructure a contract on our side before a trade and send it back, especially on a 1 year expiring deal to help the cap numbers work out? If it's possible, I couldn't see AB saying no to more money in his final year, whether it's here or anywhere.
