I could be convinced in Rubio if we're not gonna give up much and you run a Middleton/Snell/Giannis/Thon lineup with plenty of shooting to hide his lack of spacing.

But every single year people try and point to some small sample size where he's a league average shooter for like 2-3 months and think that he's finally "turned a corner", only to fall back down to his same usual percentages the very next season. Nah, until he actually proves it over a consistent time frame, teams are just gonna let him shoot wide open jumpers and be perfectly content doing so.

Yeah, I think everyone should have their eyes wide open on the shooting...I just think there is plenty you can do with him to be a net positive player. All comes down to how much to get him.

The fact that Chauncey hasn't taken that job yet, leads me to believe LeBron is leaving next year if the Cavs don't do something big this offseason.

Windhorst said that Chauncey likes living in Denver with his family which is the main reason he has not accepted it yet

Didn't he know that he would have to move when he interviewed? I don't know, there have been a couple of data points suggesting that the Cavs might be without Lebron in the near future. Players told Butler that the team might be broken up, Brons wife wants to move to LA full time, Billups dragging his feet on accepting the position. Might be nothing, but I'm no longer certain that Bron is ending his career in Cle.

Giannis made second team all defense.

Westbrook received five 1st team all defense votes and Isaiah Thomas received a second place vote. How clueless can you be?

I may be all wet, but I believe Giannis is the best defensive forward in the game. I didn't see the whole Spurs or Warriors seasons though.

Teletovic for 2019 Miami's 2nd

Teletovic could have a bounce back year ...
Rubio will never shoot well.

The Bucks trade proposal form letter for any guy one year into a big contract likely includes "__________ could have a bounce back year"

You think his playmaking etc would make up for what he'd do to our spacing? I like his PG play, but I can't see it being worth it. PGs who can't shoot just limit the hell out of Giannis.
I guess if you like Giannis at center (which I'm pretty sure you do) it's slightly more viable (potentially) provided the other 3 guys are topnotch shooters. But how sustainable is that kind of lineup? Hard to see it being capable of big minutes on a regular basis.

If Rubio can be had on the cheap (i.e. Delly/Telly and a second) then fine, but wouldn't break the bank to get him.

Hes owed like $30M over next 2 years. That's pretty reasonable- but not if he isn't a good fit. It's a problem if we can't make the spacing work and Giannis suffers accordingly.

Shouldn't we be making moves designed to complement Giannis, first and foremost? Rubio is a great square peg, but I don't see him being right for our round hole (that's what she said).

I love Rubio as a backup but I don't want to overpay for him. He'd be perfect for a lineup led by Jabari. But when Giannis is on the floor, I want the ball in Giannis' hands as much as possible and I want him surrounded by four shooters. Giannis will be unstoppable if defenses have to defend him one on one. Rubio is a net negative without the ball because his defender can leave him to help double Giannis. It's all about fit.

Didn't know where to put it so I'll post it here but is anyone watching ice cubes big 3? Not a bad format and the former players he recruited is pretty impressive. Makes me feel old though. I remember seeing moochie Norris play. Now he looks like an overweight grandpa.

I watched a little of it because I was intrigued by the retired players but it got old quick. It's too similar to NBA basketball played at a much lower level.
