For today's NBA, would you rather start with Booker or Jokic to build a team around?

Jokic.

Antetokounmpo, Towns and Davis might be the only players I'd take over Jokic to start a franchise today, and it'd be a tough decision. I'm expecting him to be an MVP candidate as soon as next season.

Jokic, not close. You could argue that Jokic is already a Top 5-7 offensive player in the league, whereas I'm not even sure that Booker even improved that much since his rookie season, where Jokic also destroyed him in pretty much any aspect of the game, with the exception of volume scoring. The Serbian is a transcendent talent, while Booker's ceiling is probably a worse defending Klay Thompson, which would still be an awesome player, just not the generational talent that Jokic is.

Booker's got a much better handle than Klay, though, and is able to create on his own. I get the comparison, but I do think Booker will be a stronger offensive weapons than Klay in his prime.

That said, I'm with you. Jokic is an offensive savant and already one of the most impactful players in the league. Booker right now is nothing more than a high volume scorer.

There's a pretty decent chance Booker will never in his career be a better/more impactful player than Jokic was this past season. I don't think that'll be the case, just saying it's possible. And this is coming from someone who loves Booker's game and regularly defends him around here. Jokic is just special, a different level of talent.

Booker is a really talented player but he needs to add more to his game than just scoring.

If you tied one of Jokic's hands behind his back I'd take Booker.

Jokic is more complete than Booker as a offensive player...
