Kudos to Ice Cube for actually making it legitimate and not just a gimmick ala And-1 mixtape stuff. I think you're gonna see a bunch of NBA guys show up to games (Harden was there on Sunday).

Yup, biggest thing I forgot to mention was how hard and competitive they played. It wasn't just screwing off like the ASG.

and overall they're trying to make it like streetball so I get letting the physicality go. You don't want to watch FTs all night.

The big 3 was pretty entertaining I'll keep watching since were in the sports deadzone.

I do worry a little that injuries will become a problem. As someone who's in his late thirties I can certainly understand how going hard on a basketball court at this age can be taxing on the body.

Jason Williams apparently wrecked his leg and had to be helped off the court, so yeah, injuries are definitely gonna be a factor.

Oh did anyone catch Gus's best 3 on 3 team of current NBA players? I know two were Harden and Porzingas, but couldn't remember the 3rd? He claimed he got that from talking to current players. I mean, wouldn't the clear best team by LBJ, KD, and Kawhi?

You can find other people to be play-makers. This is just a much of a testament to his lack of will or ability to be a good low-post presence as it is to his pg skills. It's like Sheed shooting 3's - a lot of people wanted to talk about how unusual and impressive that was for a big man, but being good at that doesn't make up for not being able or willing to do the things his team needed more from him. That's why Sheed was not in the same class as true superstars like KG, Dirk, or Duncan, and it's why Blake is not a true superstar either. A lot of fans fetishize guard skills in a big man, but you know how else has guard skills? Guards. But what almost no guards can do is give you the type of physical paint presence a big like Blake or Amare should do, and their teams regularly suffered for their shortcomings in that area.

There's no shame in being put in the same class as Cummings, Millsap, Horford, or David West. Those guys were very bit as valuable as Blake; they just didn't have the same flash.

I wonder what his future in the league looks like. Will he need a few years overseas to work on a jumper and hone his skills? Not sure it would help but what team is going to sign him now for anything resembling a decent offer after the tape is out on him? He is going to have to eat some humble pie.

maybe we took away different things from this article.

i read that hes most productive with the ball in his hands. its not about where. hes very productive in the post as well as a ball handler in the p'n'r. it also states those are where he gets the least amount of touches. likely due to playing with a generational talent at a pg. which isnt suited for his game at all.

MCW just needs to switch to SG/SF and aspire to be the poor man's version of Andre Roberson.

Hopefully J-Kidd missed the press release on MCW being a FA.

He'd probably go 4-70.

The article is just as much about his limitations as a big as it is about his ability to be a potential point sf. And he's going to be a defensive liability in any role. Anthony Mason was an excellent point forward in his prime. He wasn't nearly the scorer Blake is, but was a much better defender despite his lack of length and athleticism.

You take Blake out of LAC and I agree that he gets to showcase some of that ability more, but he also loses a lot of points CP3 gets him and still can't really guard any position. And all this is to not to belittle him - I just have a really high standard for saying someone is clearly better than Millsap or Cummings or Horford, and not because I underrate Blake but rather because I think most people underrate the others.

Saw this too but I read he was running in the locker room and isn't expected to miss any time. Good news for him and the league.

I'd offer MCW a 1+1 deal with a team option for year two.

Can someone explain why every European poster we have here (seemingly) hates Rubio? It's so God d*** irrational I can't wrap my head around it.
