The way people ride for Melo makes me believe some of you would physically fight someone over him. I don't get it .

He just needs to fckn get out.

The culture and the negative influence on KP is more important to me than w.e. **** haul we'd get for Melo anyway.

Yup. It's simple, tell Melo to open up his NTC so Phil can trade him, or be relegated to coming off of the bench, or completely benched until he allows the Knicks to trade him. If he were smart, after hearing that he would open his NTC because his value goes down the second he starts getting benched.

The Knicks could just counter by benching him, destroying Melo's value. If Melo wants to be a fool and drag this out, that is on him.

Putting it out there that while we want Melo gone, we're not just gonna let him walk to a contender

We've needed to put the kibosh on the buyout rumor for a hot minute now.

Doc Rivers stinks. No thanks. I would rather have Hornaceck here developing Frank, Porzingis and Hernangomez.

Or maybe they do this to convince them to stay

He's obviously planning on retiring cause he doesn't want to play outside of New York right?? What a joke. He's so mad at Phil that he'll do whatever he can to make sure we don't get anything for him in a trade but screw the fans who are the ones that get hurt out of this whole deal.

how are people mad that melo asked for a buyout ? that's what you all wanted a couple of pages ago. there has been no trade to a favorable location presented him. what do want him to do ? go to sacramento ? you're not being for serious.

If a player does something great for a franchise, they deserve one. Dirk for example. Brought Dallas a title and 50+ wins every year for a decade. A player like that deserves to not be forced out. Or Kobe bringing the Lakers 5 titles.

Melo asked for one off of a 54 win season. Phil was really stupid to give it, but it was probably a deal breaker, and Melo did give back $5 million.

The way some of you are overwhelmed in hatred for Melo makes me think some would wish he got injured or even death upon him.

Oh wait that already happened.

I'm saying what Melo should do to regain the power in the negotiation. I want us to trade him so this is not about being pro Melo.

But anything not crapping on him is riding hard for him right?

Stupid observation.

Same can be said for dudes who come on here crying everyday about him being on the team. Making it all personal and bringing up irrelevant stuff.

Look at the last few pages all because Stein said his camp approached the team about a buyout.

Now he's corrupting KP again

Y'all kill me man.

Whether or not we agree with it, this is a smart move on Melo's part. He has all the leverage right now and can try to force a buyout by refusing any trade.

The Knicks obvious counter is to try to convince him that we will never consider a buyout, but for now I don't think "we'll just sit you like Marbury" is a credible threat.
