Those Bull's GM's putting in strong work though lately :noway:

Hey at least i know Paxson and Gar arent sharpest knives in the drawer...but they drafted Jimmy and traded knowing the Bulls were in basketball hell and they needed to reboot......hows Joakim Noah contract....Plus i thought the Bulls won the Derrick Rose trade....Robin Lopez turned into decent starter Rose was ok but shos he still got issues mentality.....Phil just sounds like a dinosaur nowadays imo....i think KP missing end of season meeting was basically the icing on the cake of what the season was

And signing Willy & Kuz. He didn't mortgage the entire future, the cap is still in ok shape, hasn't given away our picks and the Rose trade gives us options (we save a lot of $$$ by letting him walk)

He's not great but, he's not as bad as guys make him out to be.

Oh and Other than Melo & Noah, you could argue that everyone else is underpaid. Every GM makes mistakes, has a bad signing or two but, because it's NY, guys act like the sky is falling.

I don't like the way he handled Melo but, I got no issues with what happening with Kris. Dude is too young and unproven to be pulling this ****.

Anybody scared that KP will accept the qualifying offer in 2019/2020 season and play under contract for 7.5 mil rather than seek a deal on the open market as a restricted free agent which we could match?

not scared at all. it's also a possibility. i won't blame if he leaves for greener pastures either. at that point it'll just be a waste of everyone's time.

Completely agree. There are more and more red flags being raised with KP.

HES TRAINING.......IN LATVIA. Can we as fans just have done patience for a goddamn second. Ny fans are like people who leave an argument with thier girlfriend/boyfriend and spend the next 8 hrs chain texting a person whose probably just stuck at work.

The kid said he wants to be in NY, stop acting so desperate. Its the off season. Hes working out, building muscle, working on moves, playing for national teams. He said with his own mouth and even through his brothers that he wants to be in NY.

Phil plays the cold shoulder all the time. It took Melo months to get a meeting with Phil. If Phil needs to speak with him maybe he'll get off his ass and actually visit europe cuz we know he didn't do so for Frank. Im not saying KP made the best decision but the decision was made. Let the pot simmer. Jesus Christ

This is an excellent point. Phil definitely didn't make it a priority to talk with Melo and discuss their differences and direction of the team. Hopefully they can work out their differences and move forward. KP is the future.

Remember that 80s drug commercial?

Father comes into his sons room and shakes him outta bed after finding a joint. Says " what are you doing with drugs. Where did you learn how to do drugs? "

Son replies
"From you ok, I learned it from watching you "

Like father, like son. Like GM, like player

I think only like 15 players in around 20 years have signed the QO, none of whom approach KP's level. KP would be risking a ton of money by playing that season out, plus, if he left after the 19/20 season, he'd be throwing away millions. It's far more likely we just sign him to a max extension when we are able. That's a while from now.

Stephen A. Smith isn't the only one on ESPN. Tony Reali is the same way.
