i think jaylen is being groomed for the SG spot. jaylen/hayward/george basically interchangeable at the 2/3/4. marcus will be off the bench, brad likes him there. tatum will be the first swing off the bench.

plenty of minutes for the jay's.

I think it's reasonable to believe Jaylen will be crowders superior by the end of the upcoming season. I also think he will be a primary 2, despite Brad not being huge on positions.

And like elrod said yesterday, they believe Tatum will be a 25 ppg guy and won't move him*.

The series of events that may lead to signing trading for George could end up boosting Ainge to near legendary status in my book.

Obviously, the Brooklyn deal is the catalyst for everything. The lucky draw of Charlotte refusing who knows what, but supposedly a future BRK pick, which may have been the 2017 pick swap is a huge break for Ainge. So, for that he is really lucky.

Getting the first overall pick through the lottery was also fortunate. Having Tatum at the top of draft board, acquiring a future pick, moving down a couple slots and still getting their top player was really crafty. Whether or not history will look back on Tatum going third, or passing on Ball and Fultz will eventually be known. For now, we are about three years away from being able to begin to know that.

But, getting the player you wanted with the first overall pick, and getting the primary asset to acquire George is genius. Whether or not acquiring George for an unknown future pick is another thing that will have to be reevaluated a few years down the road.

Still, if Ainge forms a team of Isaiah, Hayward, George, and Horford while keeping all of the Brooklyn picks then that will be an incredible feat.

My sources are saying Zeller isn't ruling out another paycut to stick around for the super team :o

I think I'd rather lost Brown or Tatum before the Laker lottery pick only because they will rot on the bench. Plus they each represent about 7 million in salary which the future pick does not.

It's definitely something I've been thinking about. Of course there's the chance that somehow LAL pick doesn't convey, SAC improves and the pick winds up being middling - which would suck.

However, with the glut of wings even with Jae gone, would it be prudent to only keep one of the Jay's, have more money to round out other positions this year, plus have 2 of the top 5 picks in next years draft?

Glad I don't have to make that call.

I love Paul George and want him on this team badly.

But the idea of Smart-Brown-Tatum and if luck is with us Doncic-Ayton or Bamba-Porter next year.....is really hard to get over.
"I think the criticism's stupid," Stevens said. "So I don't care. I'm with Jaylen (Brown) on that. Those two had achieved more than most 25 and 26 year olds ever had. I'd rather be in the mix and have my guts ripped out than suck."

Gordon Hayward hasn't even opted out yet. I read Jazz can't talk to him about his FA until he does.

One thing that makes me think Paul George may be coming to the Celtics. The talking heads seem to be moving on with speculation that Westbrook will go to LA. Because everyone must always be going to NY or LA.

We need an "I'm Coming Home" (to Indiana) banner for him ala Lebron. Like yesterday.

In theory I guess lol, we are clearly tampering with Hayward right now.

If it happens, at least I won't have to hear Raptor fans talk about how their depth will beat us like in 2007. We will actually have a lot of depth after these moves unlike 2007.

Right now, they're in denial that this might happen. Then they'll spend the summer claiming that it won't work out. Around all star break, that will transition into them saying that George will leave for the Lakers, and it will carry on right until we sign him to a max deal. Lol

Yeah, I binged it before canceling Netflix (super pissed they canceled Sense8 and the Get Down).

Show had me flustered as ****. If I currently had a GF it would be going down once per episode.

Legit good show though.

Thinking about how undersized and under athletic we've been, then thinking about this possibility with one of Porter/Ayton etc potentially on the horizon...wow.

If all goes according to plan , a bench of Marcus Smart, Jaylen Brown, Jayson Tatum and Tony Allen is a great bench. Can Zach Randolph be acquired cap wise ?.
