Was Doncic ever listed as a PG? Maybe this time last year? I could've sworn, because ever since I set my sights on JJ, I've had Luka pencilled in as our future PG (after we get lucky for the first time in franchise history and move from like ~8th best odds to a top 2 pick, of course) and last piece of the FINAL LINEUP.

Doncic is a point-forward, you'd have no hope on D with that backcourt.

Doncic is gonna be better at the 4 than anything, he is at around 6'8 right now but he was still growing this year, hopefully he gets to like 6'9 or 6'10 and has enough size to play there full-time.

So just move Booker and JJ to guard spots and Doncic to forward. If he needs to guard PFs more than wings, start one of those bigs at C, bring one off then bench and start Warren at 3. If he is that good of facilitator you still have Booker/JJ who are also decent and should get better. Probably not full time without a true PG though...just certain lineups.

Though we probably have no chance at Doncic unless we get lucky and win the lottery, which has never happened.

Who is going to defend the other teams best perimeter player? Booker? JJ? Jackson is better as a safety type that plays with range and doesnt need to lock down people, that aint his role.

Point-forward. No PG, no full-time PF as someone mentioned previously - this is not his game and I doubt it will ever be.

Mohamed Bamba is exactly the player we need to fill out our roster I feel.

Having Bamba work under the tutelage of Chandler, combined with the defensive intensity of JJ and versatility of Bender has the potential to be devastating IMO.

Porter and Doncic would be great simply for the sake that we need one more top level talent, but I have confidence that between Chriss, Warren, or another one of our young guys, and free agency, we should be able to have one more go-to scorer to complement Booker.

Ayton looks more coordinated than Bamba.... because of this, he has better potential to be an offensive finisher... Bamba's ridiculous wingspan is appealing defensively, but watching Gobert try to dribble or perform inside the paint offensively was like a train wreck... his long arms detrimental to getting the ball up for a shot... defenders just strip the ball off of him easily.

Bamba has soft touch and appparently shot 70% FT in high school and the AAU circuit. If Deandre Jordan shot 70% he'd be a perennial top-10 player and future HOF.

still two tier below golden era centers like Admiral, Ewing, Hakeem, Shaq etc... heck even Mourning and Mutombo.

Heck I rather have prime Marcus Camby than a better FT shooting Deandre Jordan... he is horrible offensively except catching lobs... defensively he is very good obviously.

Ayton would be my target... 250 pounds 7'1, 7'6 wingspan... has a jump shot and mobility... he actually looks like a young Admiral.

I'll see how they play against tougher competition before assessing. Hopefully the only way we are getting a top 3 pick is by getting really lucky in the lottery and making a big jump. Now obviously if we trade Bledsoe and play all our young guys we will be hard pressed to win much, since we were only able to go like 2-13 (one of those wins was against the Mavs who were trying to lose) after he got benched. We obviously should be better than that if he's gone, but who knows how much.

Our team really struggled shooting when he sat. The only player that played consistently well was Warren. Booker had 3 or 4 good games including the 70 pointer, and Chriss and Ulis each had 3-4 good ones as well, but winning didn't come easy, even with many teams kind of in the tank race.

I suspect Bledsoe won't be traded though.

Don't underestimate our ability to finish with the 3rd or 4th worst record and end up with the 5th or 6th pick.
