One scout said he would be surprised if the bidding for Waiters soars much above $10 million, if that, because of his small sample size of high-level play this past season. One prominent agent who does not represent Waiters predicted he would get $8 million to $10 million annually, with Johnson falling in somewhere between $10 million and $15 million.

wow, those numbers are nice, i would even do nice 1 year deals if we miss on any stars to keep flexibility next summer.

The only thing I would say, is I wouldnt hold much weight on salary talk from a scout.

It would be great if we could get Waiters for anything around 10 or under. Would give us so much flexibility.

The "prominent agent" is the one I focused on.

My bad didn't read the whole thing while I'm driving. I would be surprised.

If the Heat signs Gordon Hayward, do you think its a definite Yes or No that they will trade some of the depth in the backcourt?

tough one, if they move someone it's probably TJ because of the contract. but i would play hayward as a 3 and small ball 4, and we dont really have a back up pg

Should be, Blake>

Plus I think as far as BG is concerned we're only competing with the Clippers who have their own problems to deal with.

Elite passer and ball handler from the PF spot, developing 3pt shot. Spo would having him running the offense like a 6'10" PG, we'd be terrifying with him on the break.

don't like BG. don't really like hayward but will be ok with him. would rather save cap for next year and make a run at westbrook.

If we somehow manage to bring in Hayward or Griffin. Is there any scenario where we could have cap space next season to pursue another big FA?

Heat would have to dump TJ and either Dragic OR Whiteside.

Getting Gordon Hayward would be nice but big no to Blake Griffin - it seems that he is past his prime and a little bit too injury prone. I like JJ at 4 much better

I do not get that at all from Blake with an eye test. Do you have stats to support any decline?

Additionally, QUIZ may give you a scalding hot reply about those kind of statements about Blake.

Gave me the business when I did that ****, lol.

I think Riley throws max at Griffin and Hayward. Hopes to land one of them and keep Waiters.

Would feel good about those contracts if that was doable. I just expect some team with massive space to pay big because they can.

It feels like the options are:

Griffin, then Waiters - or - Hayward, then Johnson.

If neither Griffin or Hayward, then Johnson and Waiters.

I'll be pretty sad to see JJ go if that's how it works out. BG is a baller, but he ain't a dog.
