I was between Pau, Peja, and Deng with my first pick. I thought Deng was clear top 10 as 2 way wing. He dropped off fast where I think people forget his peak.

Lots of big men dropping well beyond where I'd expect. I kind of understand it, but still a little surprising to me.

Yeah and it's not like a regular draft where one guy being picked means you just move to the next one on your list. Gasol was the only pick I would have felt "sure" about making in this round, and now that he's gone I see like a zillion different paths that I can justify to myself.

It's very bittersweet seeing Mutombo being taken. He's a mid first round talent in this pool, but the Center position is just so deep. I would have had to take him if he was still available with my pick, but it would've been nauseating.

I didn't realize the board would be this barren by the end of the second.

It might have been wiser for me to take the best international player rather than go with Mike.

He's been by far the BPA for a while now. Good pickup
