More than likely. Any new GM will typically want to show wins as soon as possible.
Walsh didn't
Walsh missed out on LeBron and panicked and gave Amare 2 more years than any other team was willing to do...can we stop acting like Walsh was a good GM?
He also got ransacked in the HOU trade for Jared Jeffries...
He also draft Jordan Hill with a top 10 pick (atrocious pick)
He also sign and traded David Lee for crap.
I don't blame him for the Melo trade because all indications were that Dolan took over. But again that is still a knock on Donnie for not having enough stones to tell of Dolan. It's still his job to do so.
So you said all that and didn't say anything to disprove that Walsh wasn't under pressure to win immediately when he took the job (which was what I responded to) or disprove that he kept Dolan away for multiple seasons (which is the other thing people say only PJax can do).
I'm not saying Dolan is some great owner who trusts his people. I'm saying the idea that we would trade all our picks the moment PJax is gone doesn't add up based on the past.
