This guy is the answer? Lol well I guess it's better than nothing but this guy is a bust. He is probably the slowest guard in the league and his upside is minimal. Enjoy last place again and gifting your pick to the Celtics lol that should be fun while you 'build' around what? Russell and RHJ? Lol this circus act should be good to watch next season. I would say good luck for the lottery next season but that's right you don't even own your pick haha.

I love DLO and I hope he does well in Brooklyn. I will be rooting for Brooklyn except when they play my Lakers. Time to call my buddy to use his season tickets lol

a 21 year old coming off a 15/5/3 season is a bust? only 1 other guy 21 or under has done that.

i dont really care were we finish in the standings and glad that our management isnt making short sighted moves in order to win a few more games to spite boston. that would be a really poor decision... im glad they have patience and are putting development above wins this early in a rebuild.

as far as the team, this is one of my favorite nets teams in a long time. they play hard for 48 minutes with alot of young guys who are likeable and always in the community reaching out. ill take that over a bunch of dogs like dwill who get us to 49 wins and underachieve in the playoffs.

as far as boston, i dont really care if they get the #1 pick again next year. i care about the nets not the celtics. i actually like the celtics, they are a hardworking team with a great coach as well.

there is nothing "circus" about the nets. just alot of good people and hard working players who are dedicated to outreach.

he seems by all accounts to be a good add, strong work ethic, fitting in well with teammates. don't understand why lakers dealt him or why there is so much negativity around him.

generally speaking, where there is smoke, there is fire but im cautiously optimistic.

I think this is one of those cases where the complaints about him were not completely groundless, but will not apply in BKN bc Nets will do a better job of supporting and managing him and there will be fewer distractions , and also bc DLo has learned some hard lessons from
Lakers stint. I have almost no worries that he will fit in and work hard

I really hated this trade from the Lakers point of view. The dude can play and for some reason is being bashed form all sides (although its usually coming from your typical half-wit keyboard warrior). I think the dude is going to be an all-star and i hope he does well with in Brooklyn.

thanks man. Enjoy Lopez. He's not half as bad as everyone on the GB makes him out to be. He's super skilled offensively and will knock down 3s for you. He's also an easy guy to root for b/c he's got a great personality.

Just treat Brook right Lakers. If you can - you had a shoddy track record with Everyone Who Isn't Kobe (cough JLin cough Dloading).

Brook added credible 3-point-shooting to his game amidst a swirling mess of injury, transition and a 20-62 season. Work with him just a little and BroLo will produce on the court.

While you're not a mod, to be fair I know I'm early on D-Lo and have seen more of his game than most here and not everyone else is ready to run him out of town yet, but I'll hold off on the D-Lo hating until we see more Nets games next season and it becomes more evident. Right now to many hopeful Nets fans, it probably just looks like I'm blowing hot air. I just was really put off by his lack of character in that interview, and hoping his mindset would have changed. Maybe KA can shape him up. But I dunno maybe some guys are just bad apples

you are delusional if you think that interview showed anything resembling lack of charecter. nevermind he has been in the gym twice a day every day since he got to the nets. i guess that shows poor work ethic somehow.

you "holding off" on hating him is irrelevant. you will find something to hate on no matter what. he'll score 30 and you'll call him selfish. he will drop 10dimes you'll hate on his defense. he will hit a game winner and you'll say lin carried us to get him in position to get that last bucket.

you dont like him. your LinSecure TM thats fine just keep the irrational stuff in the lin thread

Ummmm......repeating something that's imaginary isn't gonna make it true. I've already proven that he has held this belief before the trade. It's got nothing to do with Lin on the Nets.

Highly doubtful. A Lin fan wouldn't predict bad record for his team.

From that GB thread I dug up, there were plenty of fans of different teams that didn't like DRuss. C'est la vie. No need to blame.

I hope both lal and bk does alot better next yr so neither one of us is giving those green turds more high draft picks....i hated this trade from la side even though i was disgusted by dlo effort in several gms last ur, terrible way to send off you former #2 in a salary dump

Edit-also you guys should temper your expectations on mozgov rebounding, he is terrible. He makes Brook 7reb look like an elite rebounder

Yea it cracks me up when people try to prove to themselves their own narrative... Logic escapes some people it seems

Your comments are nonsensical and ridiculous regardless of when you first held this opinion. Logic weighs little into your vendetta and butthurt over this kid.

after watching Russell's games, i am sure if JJ join nets, Russell should come off from bench as a 6th man. Russell's defensive rating was 402nd of 486 players, his defensive box plus-minus ranked 366th. Russell will be a disaster to nets's defense. Last year Foye win the starter because of his defense. Kilpatrick benched because of his defense. I think Russell should come off from bench and after he improve his defense, than he will be a starter.

For my opinion, whitehead is much better than Russell on defense and improved offense at the end of the season. Someone say Russell is young and will improve, yes.. but we need win games and Russell is suitable as a 6th man now, he can learn from lin, whitehead, after he improve his personal defense ability and team defense mind, he will be great .. but not now , we need win games....

This team needs to win games? You think this team will make the playoffs? Russell is the future of this team. Also, Russell is not a bad defender, his rank is so low because the Lakers as a whole were a bad defensive team.

Next, this team should not sign JJ Reddick, not worth the money. He is old, and won't help this team for the future. Plus if you go by defensive rating, his rating is also bad. Reddick's defensive rating is 112, and Russell is 113. Not big of a difference.

Russell's defensive box plus-minus is -1.6, Reddick's defensive box plus-minus is -2.1. If you want to say Russell should be a 6th man because of some random numbers that you probably don't understand, next time check the other player's numbers.
