I want to go to this sometime - but the prospect of going to Vegas int he summer just seems backwards. This is like the 3 months it's worth living in Chicago - June, July and Aug.

I wonder if we'll ever get a SL in Chicago?
That would rule, were centrally located and the combine is here. They could use that new DePaul arena.

The Orlando SL starts on Saturday, bummed they say no Malik Monk tho, he's got an ankle issue.
It's gonna be tough watching Issac and Smith, those are guys I was salivating over when we moved yup to #7....

Yeah, I don't get it, unless they figure he'll get lots of development time in the d-league this year.

Zipser, yeah - don't know why he's even in SL other than building chemistry with other young guys. He's not Pippen, but he isn't going to learn much playing against rooks and scrubs.

Summer league starts next week for us. A week from Sat. Do we have any idea what our team looks like outside of Payne, Zip, Valentine, Mark, Dunn?

He wont.

EDIT: he will damn you

It'll be a good experience for him. He'll be going up
against pretty good talent. He should be Finland's best player.

Can someone post those highlights?

I really don't want to see Dunn playing the 2 just yet... he's ideal for Hoiberg's pace and space approach. I want the ball in his hands and the offense being funneled through him.

Oh, he'll be playing PG a vast majority of the time, I think. I just listed them that way because I expect Payne and Dunn will both start a couple games. Mike McGraw said yesterday that Payne won't be playing much in SL (neither will Zipser). So Dunn's going to be running point and starting there most of the time.

Truth... although with Wade ostensibly staying in Chicago this season, I'm hoping he can teach some of his game to Dunn. Those two dudes are pretty much the exact same size...

Most players don't play SL after second year so I find it encouraging that Payne is going.

I think there was a message that Payne and Zip wont play much in SL so Dunn will get a lot of opportunity at PG

I'm interested to see brimah. He's under weight for a C but he can block shots and that's what we need at C right now. Blakeney should also have a good chance at making the roster. Could be a really good bench spark plug like Lou Williams

Should be a pretty strong SL team again. Hoping we see a step up from some of these guys. Looks like we have some solid signings as well - wouldn't be surprised to see someone get a contract offer.

Blakeney is only 20 and he's got an athletic base to work with, so if he shows anything I would like to give him a shot. We need super young guys.

Does anyone know what the situation is with the undrafted guys like Dozier, Motley, Oliver etc.? Did they sign with the teams or is it just SL deals that other teams can poach if they want?

Motley I think signed a two way deal with the Mavs. So he gets paid both like a minor leaguer in baseball would.

Not sure how a summer league player is gonna make the roster if you believe Paxson on roster spots.
Can't fit a talented big but can fit a SL guy?

I hate to keep bringing this up, but what if Brimah, Walker and Blakeney turn out to be - God forbid - BETTER than Bell?

OMG, the horror!!!!

It's not gonna be pretty

You should, you're going to get an up close look at our "core" sans Zach LaVine.

Ugly in terms of losing, but if we are fun to watch (playstyle wise) and do have nice highlights games from our current core (dunn, markkanen till lavine doesnt comeback) we are in for a treat
