Don't forget a first round pick for next year which the Rockets definitely did not have to throw in. Even for a late first-round pick lately they are netting starting players in trades. In other words the value of even a late first-round pick as at an all-time high.

If Hayward stays with Utah I think they get Blake. However Miami is a real threat with every free agent because of Riley and weather and no tax.

Bulls got better return than Clippers. Now I can truly say we are not worst FO in the league. There are always Clips and Knicks making sure of that.

Man it sucks for the Clippers. I don't like CP3 very much, but I liked them being a top 5 team these last years after being awful for so long. Good luck rebuilding guys, Shareef O'Neal is just a couple of tanking years away :D

My biggest takeaway - Rockets couldnt get anyone to absorb Ryan Anderson's contract so they chose to go the trade route

Blake needs to go out of there.

He should go to Boston, that would be the best fit.

A ball-dominant PG like CP3 working with Harden? lol. I mean sure Harden can play off-ball but now you're lowring his impact. He's not a KD type of player.

Tmac is to the 1st round....what CP3 is to the 2nd round

T-Mac and Yao was an excellent pairing, but neither could stay healthy at the same time except 1 playoff year. This is an AMAZING trade for the Rockets. Morey has done it again! They got another star for almost nothing.

Nope, Tmac and Yao was definitely not a good pairing and that team vastly underachieved.

I won't rain on your parade, but CP3 isn't a good fit with Harden. The reason is pretty obvious.

Sinking? The Clippers are taking steps back for steps forward. Beverley fits the identity of Rivers and Jerry West. They're putting together assets.

As a Clippers man, would you say it's time to blow it up and go for a Youth movement?

I can't see Blake hanging around and DeAndre may not get the same service Paul was delivering.

You can't compare the situations, chris paul could have left for nothing if the clippers didn't agree to this trade.

That's a decent return for Cp3. Really like Beverly. West knows what he's doing. Paul is on the decline people.

Yeah, no one seems to acknowledge the fact that CP3 is kinda an a-hole and his teammates generally don't care for him.

If Blake leaves, I think it has more to do with the Clips just deciding to move on with a total fresh start than Blake's desire to leave.

We got a first-round pick from Houston, we either own or have protections on all our own picks, and we have Jerry West. We are rebuilding, but it's not so bad.

Prepare for another clippers drought
