Nice return for a Free Agent. Wonder if the clippers are blowing out this.

Whether we blow it up or not will depend on Blake. But yeh... wow... end of an era.

Re: Chris Paul to the Rockets
this is not much of a return either. Lou Williams is only slightly better than Rivers. Dekker has not shown anything so far, he'll be out of the league once his rookie contract expires. 2018 1st round will be in the 25-30 range, Beverly is expiring next year.

That's how bad he wanted out... left a ton of money on the table... Probably wanted nothing to do with Jerry West's off season plans.

We weren't beating GS the next few years anyway. Might as well get something for him instead of letting him walk. Sucks, but oh well.

Man I feel for you all. I will still root for you to be the best team in LA. He is a horrible fit for the rockets. Two ball dominate guards on the same team.
I wish he would of came to Utah, I think Utah is better than the rockets. He would of been a better fit in Utah, and Utah could of sent you a lot more back in compensation.

You folks will love Beverley's fire. Dude is a pittbull. Dekker has potential as well and Lou is a scoring machine. Best of luck to you guys next season.

He opted in so Houston would have his bird rights and could sign him to a bigger deal next summer.

Re: Chris Paul to the Rockets
do you think CP3 told West/Doc/Ballmer that if they trade him to the Rockets, next year he'll sign with Clippers again, along with Carmelo, Lebron and Wade?

Re: Chris Paul to the Rockets
Not a great return for the Clippers, IMO, but if they are blowing this team up, I guess you take the best offer you can get. Still, when rebuilding it seem like you want to see more picks/young players involved.
I do like Beverly & thought the Jazz might end up getting him if G.Hill walks.
I'm very confused how the Rockets are thinking this is going to work. 2 ball dominant PG's on the floor at the same time? Harden plays way better as the PG than the SG. I think some teams are so busy trying to put together "super-teams" that they forget that this isn't NBA 2K, and the players actually have to mesh (see A.Davis/Cousins, or ANY combo the Knicks put together.) Time will tell.
As Clipper fans, does this signal a complete overhaul? JJ, Blake, DeAndre all gone by the end of the summer????

Re: Chris Paul to the Rockets
If Griffin decides to stay I don't think this is a horrible trade. If Griffin can stay healthy (a big if) he can become the true leader of the team. Beverly is a very solid defender and decent shooter. Williams is a better version of Crawford. Perhaps Crawford will be traded. I wonder who the clippers will try to bring in at shooting guard. Who is available and within price range. I'm thinking Redick is leaving

I think this will signal a rebuild. I don't see Griffin staying.
Will clipper fans boo Paul when he returns to staples in a rockets jersey?
