Welcome to the Rockets, Chris Paul!

Just saw the news. I haven't seen any details yet.

Acquired by trade. I didn't see that coming.

Welcome to Houston, Chris Paul!

Pat Beverley, Sam Dekker & Sweet Lou Williams all out. :(

Paul opted in to make this trade happen.

Again, didn't see this one coming.

Morey 2020.

Q:How are they experts when they're always wrong?
A:Ask a stock market analyst or your financial advisor

Why? How will paul+harden play together? Both need the ball.

Sexy name trade but I think you got worse

Best of luck anyway

Always nice to see trades :-)

Grats Rockets fans. I guess we'll remain the worst team in Texas for a little while longer

It really sucks to lose three guys like Bev, Dekker & Lou; but I have faith in Morey to rebuild some depth.

I'm really hoping that they manage to bring Nene back. And if Bev and Lou are gone does this mean that they hold onto Gordon?

I love this move for you. Harden and Paul can both play off the ball because they´re good catch and shoot guys, too, and Gordon gives you a fantastic 3 guard rotation. Dekker is a loss, but that´s it really since Paul will eat basically all of Beverly and Lou´s minutes. Best of all, when Harden has his rough game or two in a 7 game series, Paul can just take over.

The fact that Woj said they were both determined to play together leads me to believe they are willing to sacrafice

We get the best playmaker in the league who also happens to shoot decently well and is also one hell of a defender.

And the evil forces continue to grow. Come join the darkside.

I like Beverly & thought the Jazz might end up getting him if G.Hill walks. Guess that's off the table.

I'm very confused how the Rockets are thinking this is going to work. 2 ball dominant PG's on the floor at the same time? Harden plays way better as the PG than the SG, from what I've seen. I think some teams are so busy trying to put together "super-teams" that they forget that this isn't NBA 2K, and the players actually have to mesh (see A.Davis/Cousins, or ANY combo the Knicks put together.) On the surface it seems that both players will have to change the way they play, which will make both less effective. Time will tell.

I can't say I watched a ton of the Rockets though, so any insight would be great.

BTW, I really like Capela. My favorite Rocket. You got a steal with him.

I don´t know about getting a 3rd star, but I do think you can probably get a decent wing or forward like CJ Miles or Patrick Patterson with the 8.4 MLE to complete the rotation:

CP3-Harden-Ariza-Anderson-Capela
Gordon-FreeAgent-Nene

Looks like a really solid rotation, even if Morey can´t figure anything else out.

We still need Ariza and Gordon. I also hope we resign Nene. Hopefully Morey will find a way to get rid of the spaceman, but I doubt we'll find any suitor.

James Harden is about to get a lot worse. He won't sniff the MVP again.

Return to Houston Rockets
