I think this is a great move by the Rockets, and I mean trade for him rather than sign him outright.
They would've had to give up players anyway to have enough cap space, but this gives them a lot more flexibility, keeping the exceptions, and also acquiring his bird rights which will be crucial when they give him a new contract in 12 months.

Patrick Beverly was not a fit to D'antoni's system anywyas ----- he played defense.

Paul
Harden
Ariza
Ryno
Capela

Still have 6th man of the year EG too

Laugh it up all you want. We're finally stepping off the treadmill, so I'm happy.

Off the treadmill , down to the gutter

"The gutter" is better than first- and second-round exits every year with an old, capped-out team.

Chris_Broussard: Sources: Jerry West was not in yesterday's meeting between CP3 and the Clippers.

Paul-Harden is going to be a disaster. Neither guy wants any part of playing off the ball.

Nearly 11 million which absorbed the rest of Paul's deal

Wait so Harden has one of his best years playing PG, so morey brings in one of the best PG's ever.

I like the move just thought that was funny. Also, gives the Rox an A+ midrange guy to make their offense less predictable come Playoff time.

I kind of wonder if the Clippers will just turn around and deal both Lou and Beverley now - both have some value on the trade market I'd think.

Don't like the fit (on paper) but I guess the Rockets will outscore the Warriors next year

For who? The Rockets created cap space so they can possibly make more moves in free agency instead of using it to sign CP3 outright. Clippers get Beverly and a 1st round pick just to take on some expiring contracts

Dekker has a lot of potential as a 3 and d SF and Williams will have a ton of trade value if they lose Griffin or can be a good bench scorer if they keep him.

Wonder if the Clippers try to go after PG13? I don't see them just blowing it up.

Lol poor Dantoni, right after he rebuilt his credibility in the league by winning COY, they going to bring in Melo, who cause Dantoni to quit in NY.

Melo would be a beast in MDA's system. Don't like the CP3/Harden fit, but if it lures Melo to form a big 3, then its well worth it.

Interesting trade, but I really like it for HOU. I still think they need to make at least one more move to truly push GS (i.e. Iguodala, Millsap, or Hayward).
